Cash Up Program: Definitions

“Accelerated Cash Up” means bonus Cash Up earned on the Titanium, Platinum and World Credit Card based on pre-defined Accelerated Spend Categories.

“Accelerated Spend Categories” means a group of Merchant Code Categories (MCC), single or multiple, that are eligible for Accelerated Cash Up, as set out in the Cash Up table. The lists of Spend Categories eligible for Accelerated Cash Up shall be determined by Deem at its sole discretion.

“Customer” means a Deem customer holding a valid and activated Deem Credit Card.

“Cardholder” includes a Deem primary Credit Card customer and a supplementary Credit Card customer.

“Cash Up Program” refers to the loyalty program applicable to Deem Titanium Cash Up Credit Cards, Deem Platinum Cash Up Credit Cards and Deem World Cash Up Credit Cards under which Customer earns Cash Up based on their spend.

“Cash Up” means Cash Up points earned on the Credit Card. All Cash Up earned is maintained in the form of Cash Up. The conversion of Cash Up to AED is: 1 Cash Up point = 1 AED

“Cash Up Earn Rate” means the rate at which Cash Up will accrue to the Customer for every retail transaction as detailed in the Cash Up Table. Deem reserves the right to change the applicable Cash Up Earn Rate at its own discretion.

“Cash Up Table” means a table that details the applicable spend tiers and the Cash Up rate specifically designed for a Titanium Credit Card, Platinum Credit Card and a World Credit Card.

“MCC” means a merchant category code defined by Mastercard to classify transactions. The categorization of an MCC is determined by Mastercard at its sole discretion in accordance with its respective policies and Deem has no involvement in the same.

“Retail Transaction” means a purchase made using the Deem Credit Card by the Customer that excludes cash advances, quasi cash transactions, any refunds, any bank charge reversals, balance transfer transactions, Credit Card payments or any other transaction as determined by Deem from time to time.

“Spend Categories” means a group of MCCs, single or multiple. The list of Spend categories shall be determined by Deem at its sole discretion.

“Sum of Cycle” means the total sum of all purchases done and posted on the Credit Card during a particular Credit Card statement period.


Miles Up Program: Definitions

“Accelerated Miles Up” means the bonus Miles Up earned by the Customer on certain Accelerated Spend Categories.

“Accelerated Spend Categories“ means a group of MCCs, single or multiple, that are eligible for Accelerated Miles Up as set out in the Miles Up table. The list of Spend Categories eligible for Accelerated Miles Up is determined by Deem at its sole discretion.

“Deem Miles Up Program” refers to the loyalty program applicable to Deem Platinum Miles Up Credit Cards and Deem World Miles Up Credit Cards under which Customer earns Miles Up based on his spend.

“Miles Up Earn Rate” means the rate at which Miles will accrue to the Customer for every retail transaction as detailed in the Miles table. Deem reserves the right to change the earn rate applicable at its own discretion.

“MCC” means a merchant category code defined by MasterCard to classify transactions. The categorization of an MCC is determined by MasterCard at its sole discretion in accordance with its respective policies and Deem has no involvement in the same.

“Miles Up” is the reward currency in terms of travel miles for Deem Miles Up Program.

“Retail Transaction” mean a purchase made on the Deem Credit Card by the card member that excludes cash advances, quasi cash transactions, any refunds, any bank charge reversals, Balance Transfer transactions, utility bills, Credit Card payments or any other transaction as determined by the bank from time to time.

“Rewards Partners” means the independent third party designated on Deem’s reward portal to provide Deem Credit Card Customers with Rewards.

“Rewards” means specified goods and/or services provided by Deem or any Rewards Partner in exchange for Miles Up in accordance with the Miles Up terms and conditions.

“Spend Categories” means a group of MCC, single or multiple. The list of Spend Categories is determined by Deem at its the sole discretion. Spend Categories may be increased, decreased or modified as determined from time to time by Deem.

“Sum of Cycle” means the total sum of all purchases made and posted on the Credit Card during a particular Credit Card statement period.


Titanium Cash Up proposition

Titanium Cash Up Credit Card earn structure:

·      With effect from 1st Jan’2022, Titanium Cash Up Cardholder can earn a maximum of 500 Accelerated Cash Up points in a statement cycle.

·      With effect from 1st Jan’2022, a minimum cumulative spend of AED 1,000 in a statement cycle is required to earn Accelerated Cash Up. In case, the cumulative spends in a statement cycle is less than AED 1,000 then the Customer will earn Cash Up as per the applicable Cash Up Earn Rate for ‘All other Retail Purchases’.

·      Accelerated Spend Categories for Titanium Cash Up are defined as spends made in Supermarkets, Fuel, Utilities and Government spend categories.

·      The list of MCCs included in the program are at the sole discretion of Deem.

·      Retail Transactions at supermarkets within department stores are not eligible for accelerated Cash Up, unless stores have specifically used the supermarket merchant category codes. Cash Up on the Accelerated Spend Categories is calculated per transaction made and hence each purchase will start earning Cash Up based on:

a. The Accelerated Spend Category it belongs to

b. Per Transaction value

The above two factors will decide the spend tier that the purchase falls under and the applicable Cash Up rate.

·      The descriptions of the Spends Categories provided in the table are illustrative and not comprehensive. Only Retail Transactions made under specific MCCs will be eligible under the Cash Up program.

·      Cash Up rates for Accelerated Spend Categories apply irrespective of whether the transaction was undertaken in the UAE or overseas.

·      Neither Deem nor Mastercard shall be responsible for any Retail Transactions that do not get captured under the appropriate MCC.

·      All “Other Retail Purchases” made and posted to the billing cycle and reflecting on the Customer`s credit card statement will be summed and the applicable Cash Up rate will be applied as per the Titanium Cash Up table.

·      All Cash Up earned by the Customer will accumulate as Cash Up on the primary Cardholder’s account.

Platinum Cash Up proposition

Platinum Cash Up Credit Card earn structure:

·     All Spends made in Fuel, Transport, Utility Bills, Government Services merchant categories at 0.50%.

·     With effect from 1st Jan’2022, Platinum Cash Up Cardholder can earn a maximum of 500 Accelerated Cash Up points in a statement cycle.

·      With effect from 1st Jan’2022, a minimum cumulative spend of AED 1,000 in a statement cycle is required to earn Accelerated Cash Up. In case, the cumulative spends in a statement cycle is less than AED 1,000 then the customer will earn Cash Up as per the applicable Cash Up Earn Rate for ‘All other Retail Purchases’.

·      Department Stores includes merchants classified by Mastercard as Discount Store, Department Stores, Variety Stores, Men's & Boys' Clothing and Accessory Stores, Women's Ready-to-Wear Stores, Children's and Infants' Wear Stores, Family Clothing Stores, Sports and Riding Apparel Stores, Shoe Stores, Men's and Women's Clothing Stores, Miscellaneous Apparel and Accessory Stores, Sporting Goods Stores and Miscellaneous & Specialty Retail Stores.

·      Entertainment includes merchants classified by Mastercard as Boat Rentals and Leasing, Sporting and Recreational Camps, Theatrical Producers [except Motion Pictures] and Ticket Agencies, Billiards & Pool Establishments, Bowling Alleys, Tourist Attractions and Exhibits, Public Golf Courses, Video Amusement Game Supply, Video Game Arcades and Establishments, Amusement Parks, Circuses, Carnivals, and Fortune Tellers, Aquarium, Seaquarium, Dolphinariums and Recreation Services.

·      Accelerated Spend Categories for Platinum Cash Up are defined as spends done in Merchant category groups of Department Stores, Entertainment (as mentioned above) and Merchant category of Online Shopping. The list of MCCs that are included in the Cash Up program is determined by Deem at its sole discretion.

·      The descriptions of the Spend Categories provided in the table are illustrative and not comprehensive. Only Retail transactions made under specific MCCs will be eligible under the Cash Up program.

·      Cash Up rates for Accelerated Spend Categories apply irrespective of whether the transaction is made in the UAE or Overseas.

·      Neither Deem nor Mastercard shall be responsible if a Retail Transaction does not get captured under the appropriate MCC .

·      All “Other Retail Purchases” made and posted to the billing cycle and reflecting on the Customer`s credit card statement will be summed and the applicable Cash Up rate will be applied as per the Platinum Cash Up table.

·      All Cash Up earned by the Customer will accumulate as Cash Up on the primary Cardholder’s account.


World Cash Up proposition

World Cash Up Credit Card earn structure:

·      All Spends undertaken in Fuel, Transport, Utility Bills, Government Services merchant categories at 0.50%.

·      With effect from 1st Jan’2022, World Cash Up Cardholder can earn a maximum of 750 Accelerated Cash Up points in a statement cycle.

·      With effect from 1st Jan’2022, a minimum cumulative spend of AED 3,000 in a statement cycle is required to earn Accelerated Cash Up. In case, the cumulative spends in a statement cycle is less than AED 3,000 then the customer will earn Cash Up as per the applicable Cash Up Earn Rate for ‘All other Retail Purchases’.

·      Accelerated Spend Categories for World Cash Up are defined as spends done in Merchant category groups of Airlines, Hotels and Entertainment (as mentioned above).

·      Cash Up rates for Accelerated Spend Categories apply irrespective of whether the transaction in undertaken in the UAE or Overseas.

·      The list of MCC’s that are included in the Cash Up program is at the sole discretion of Deem.

·      Cash Up on the Accelerated Spend Categories is calculated per transaction made and hence each purchase will start earning Cash Up based on:

a. The Accelerated Spend category it belongs to

b. Per Transaction value

The above two factors will decide the spend tier that the purchase falls under and the applicable Cash Up rate.

Platinum Miles Up proposition:

The Platinum Miles Up program is only available on Deem Platinum Miles Up Credit Cards.

 Miles Up is earned on Retail Transactions as defined in the Platinum Miles Up table below:

Payments towards utility bills, fuel, transport and government services are excluded from Miles Up accrual

The list of MCC’s that are included in the Miles Up program is at the sole discretion of Deem.

Accelerated Miles Up for the Accelerated Spend Categories apply irrespective whether the transaction was completed in the UAE or overseas.

Miles Up are earned for all shopping including online shopping that cover department stores, Discount Store, Variety Stores, Men's & Boys' Clothing and Accessory Stores, Women's Ready-to-Wear Stores, Children's and Infants' Wear Stores, Family Clothing Stores, Sports and Riding Apparel Stores, Shoe Stores, Men's and Women's Clothing Stores, Miscellaneous Apparel and Accessory Stores, Sporting Goods Stores and Miscellaneous & Specialty Retail Stores.

All retail transactions done and posted that are eligible for Miles Up including Accelerated Miles Up earned up to the billing cycle will be summed up and the Earn Rate as per the Platinum Miles Up Table.

Accelerated Spend Categories for Platinum Miles Up are defined as spends done in Airline, Hotels and Department Stores Merchant Categories.

The descriptions of the Spend Categories provided in table are illustrative and not comprehensive. Only Retail Transactions made under specific MCCs will be eligible under the Miles Up program.

Neither Deem nor Mastercard shall be responsible if a Retail Transaction does not get captured under the appropriate MCC

All Miles Up earned by the Customer will accumulate on Deem rewards portal.


World Miles Up proposition

The World Miles Up program is only available on Deem World Miles Up Credit Cards.

 Miles Up is earned on Retail Transactions as defined in the World Miles Up table below:

The descriptions of the Spend Categories provided in the table are illustrative and not comprehensive. Only Retail Transactions made under specific MCCs will be eligible under the Miles Up program.

Neither Deem nor Mastercard shall be responsible if a Retail Transaction does not get captured under the appropriate MCC.

All Miles Up earned by the Customer will accumulate on Deem rewards portal.


Titanium Cash Up eligibility & earning

·      Participation in the Titanium Cash Up program is automatic, provided that the Titanium Credit Card account is active and in good standing (including but not limited to the fact that the Customer has not failed to make his contractual monthly payments).

·      Transactions on supplementary Credit Cards and virtual cards will also earn Cash Up and this Cash Up will accrue to the account of the primary Credit Cardholder.

·      The Cash Up program applies to Retail Transactions only.

·      The amount of Accelerated Cash Up earned will reflect as “Accelerated Cash Up” on Deem rewards portal.

·      Cash Up rates for Accelerated Spend Categories apply irrespective of whether the transaction takes place in the UAE or overseas.

·      The amount of Cash Up earned on all Other Retail Transactions will reflect as “Regular Cash Up” on Deem rewards portal.

·      The Cash Up caps for all Retail Transactions for Titanium Cash Up Credit Card is 10,000 Cash Up points per year across all spends (Applicable until 31st December’2021). With effect from 1st Jan’2022, Titanium Cash Up Cardholder can earn a maximum of 500 Accelerated Cash Up points in a statement cycle. There is no maximum limit on Cash Up points earned through spends made in non-Accelerated Spend Categories.  

·      There is no minimum spend required to earn Cash Up on the Titanium Cash Up Credit Card until 31st Dec’21. With effect from 1st Jan’2022, a minimum cumulative spend of AED 1,000 in a statement cycle is required to earn Accelerated Cash Up. In case, the cumulative spends in a statement cycle is less than AED 1,000 then the Customer will earn Cash Up as per the applicable Cash Up Earn Rate for ‘All other Retail Purchases’.

·      With effect from 1st Jan’22, a Customer has to undertake at least one Retail Transaction, for any amount, once in six (6) months, to avoid Cash Up points being forfeited. If a Customer does not make even a single Retail Transaction on the Deem Credit Card for consecutive six (6) statement cycles, all available Cash Up points balance will be forfeited. Such forfeited Cash Up points will not be reinstated if the Customer subsequently resumes spending on Deem Credit Card.


Platinum Cash Up eligibility & earning

·      Participation to the Platinum Cash Up program is automatic, provided that the Platinum Credit Card account is active and in good standing (including but not limited to the fact that the customer has not failed to make his contractual monthly payments)

·      Transactions on supplementary Credit Card and virtual cards will also earn Cash Up and this Cash Up will accrue to the account of the primary Cardholder.

·      The Cash Up program applies to Retail Transactions only.

·      The amount of Accelerated Cash Up earned will reflect as “Accelerated Cash Up” on Deem rewards portal.

·      The amount of Cash Up earned on all Other Retail Transactions will reflect as “Regular Cash Up” on Deem rewards portal.

·      The Cash Up caps for all Retail Transactions for World Cash Up Credit Card is 20,000 Cash Up points across all spends (Applicable until 31st December’2021). With effect from 1st Jan’2022, World Cash Up Cardholder can earn a maximum of 750 Accelerated Cash Up points in a statement cycle. There is no maximum limit on Cash Up points earned through spends done in non-Accelerated Spend Categories.

·      There is no minimum spend required to earn Cash Up on the World Cash Up Credit Card until 31st Dec’21. With effect from 1st Jan’2022, a minimum cumulative spend of AED 3,000 in a statement cycle is required to earn Accelerated Cash Up. In case, the cumulative spends in a statement cycle is less than AED 3,000 then the customer will earn Cash Up as per the applicable Cash Up Earn Rate for ‘All other Retail Purchases’.

·      With effect from 1st Jan’22, a Customer has to undertake at least one Retail Transaction, for any amount, once in six (6) months, to avoid Cash Up points being forfeited. If a Customer does not make even a single Retail Transaction on the Deem Credit Card for consecutive six (6) statement cycles, all available Cash Up points balance will be forfeited. Platinum Miles Up eligibility & earning

·      Participation to the Platinum Miles Up program is automatic, provided that the Platinum Credit Card account is active and in good standing (including but not limited to the fact that the customer has failed to make his contractual monthly payment).

·      Deem will update your account balance including Miles Up collected and spent and you can view your Miles Up balance on the monthly Credit Card statement.

·      Transactions on supplementary Credit Card and virtual cards will also earn Miles Up and will accrue to the account of the primary Cardholder.

·      The Deem Miles Up program applies to Retail Transactions only.

·      The amount of Accelerated Miles Up earned will reflect as “Accelerated Miles Up” on Deem rewards portal.

·      The amount of Miles Up earned on all Other Retail Transactions will reflect as “Regular Miles Up” on Deem rewards portal.

·      There is no minimum spend required to earn Miles Up on the Platinum Miles Up Credit Card.

·      The maximum Miles Up that the Customer can earn per billing cycle for all retail spend as per the Platinum Miles Up table is 100,000 Miles Up.

·      Deem reserves the right at any time, without prior notice to the Customer, to add and/or change the terms and conditions of the Deem Miles Up program including, changing the number of Miles Up earned for spending, or the number of Miles Up required to redeem Rewards, impose caps and/or fees on earning and/or redeeming Miles Up, or cancel Rewards without prior notice to the Customer, including but not limited to the happening of any of the following events:

a.    Failure to comply with these terms and conditions.

b.    Supplying false or misleading information to us or our partners.

c.    Abuse of any membership privileges.

d.    Death or bankruptcy of the primary Cardholder.

·      Miles Up have no monetary value and cannot be sold, transferred or otherwise dealt with except in accordance with these terms and conditions.

·      Deem will not be held liable for any loss, theft, damage or unauthorized use of Miles Up.

·      All exclusions and limitations of liability in these terms and conditions apply for our security and the benefit of all partners and reward providers.

·      Partners and reward providers do not have any authority, expressed or implied, to make any representation or warranty on our behalf.

·      Each Customer’s Deem Miles Up Account will be credited daily and can be viewed monthly on the card statement based on the retail purchases until the statement date of the Deem Credit Card of the Customer. Deem Miles Up will accrue at the Earn Rate. Deem may change the rates of accrual in its sole discretion without prior notice. Any such changes will be updated on the Website. The Customer is solely responsible for checking the Website at frequent intervals to keep abreast of any changes to the Deem Miles Up program Terms and Conditions.

·      Bonus Miles Up and spend bonus Miles Up will be awarded to the Customer upon the occurrence of the following conditions: (i) Upon payment of the annual fees in full once it is billed on or before the due date as per the statement; and (ii) Customer achieves a minimum spend as specified in the welcome pack over a period of 60 (sixty) days following the date of the card account approval. The Customer shall forfeit the entire acquisition bonus Miles Up and/or spend bonus Rewards in the event any of the conditions specified in this paragraph are not met in time. The acquisition bonus Miles Up and the spend bonus Rewards will appear in the Customer’s Miles Up account in the following month.

·      Bonus Miles Up will be awarded to a Customer from time to time on account of select promotions and special offers which will be communicated to the Customer in the manner determined by Deem. Bonus Miles Up will be calculated on the basis of Retail Transactions billed to the Card Account for the relevant promotion period and are subject to the terms and conditions of the promotion.


World Miles Up eligibility & earning

·      Participation to the World Miles Up program is automatic, provided that the World Credit Card account is active and in good standing (including but not limited to the fact that the customer has failed to make his contractual monthly payments).

·      Deem will update your account balance including Miles Up collected and spent and you can view your Miles Up balance on the monthly Credit Card Statement.

·      Transactions on supplementary Credit Card will also earn Miles Up and will accrue to the account of the primary Cardholder.

·      The Miles Up program applies to Retail Transactions only.

·      The amount of Accelerated Miles Up earned will reflect as “Accelerated Miles Up” on Deem rewards portal

·      The amount of Miles Up earned on all Other Retail Transactions will reflect as “Regular Miles Up” on Deem rewards portal.

·      There is no minimum spend required to earn Miles Up on the World Miles Up Credit Card 33.

·      The maximum Miles Up that the Customer can earn per billing cycle for all retail spend as per the World Miles Up table is 200,000 Miles Up.

·      Deem reserves the right at any time, without prior notice to the Customer, to add and/or change the terms and conditions of the Deem Miles Up program including, changing the number of Miles Up earned for spending, or the number of Miles Up required to redeem Rewards, impose caps and/or fees on earning and/or redeeming Miles Up, or cancel Rewards without prior notice to the Customer, including but not limited to the happening of any of the following events:

a.    Failure to comply with these terms and conditions.

b.    Supplying false or misleading information to us or our partners.

c.    Abuse of any membership privileges.

d.    Death or bankruptcy of the primary Cardholder.

 

·      Miles Up have no monetary value and cannot be sold, transferred or otherwise dealt with except in accordance with these terms and conditions.

The Customer shall forfeit the entire acquisition bonus Miles Up Rewards and/or spend bonus Rewards in the event any of the conditions specified in this paragraph are not timely met. The acquisition bonus Miles Up and the spend bonus Rewards will appear in Customer’s Miles Up account in the following month.

·      Bonus Miles Up will be awarded to a Customer from time to time on account of select promotions and special offers which will be communicated to the Customer in the manner determined by Deem. Bonus Miles Up will be calculated on the basis of Retail Transactions billed to the card account for the relevant promotion period and are subject to the terms and conditions of the promotion.

Cash Up redemption

Redemption of Cash Up is not automatic. Primary Credit Card holders may use the Deem mobile app or online portal to redeem their Cash Up.

If the Customer requests to redeem the Cash Up for a Cash Up credit on the statement, then the credit will reduce the outstanding balance on the card and add to the Customer’s available credit limit. This credit will not offset any payments due on the card.

If the Customer requests a Cash Up credit on the statement, the credit will reflect on the Customer’s account within five (5) working days from the date of receipt of the redemption request.

If the Customer requests to redeem Cash Up via pay with points, then the Customer will be able to view the credit against the transaction(s) selected in the next monthly Credit Card statement.

If the Customer redeems the reward points for online gift vouchers, then the Customer will receive an email confirmation within two (2) working days, based on the email address shared for the purpose of redemption, of the voucher from the merchant.

All online gift vouchers are available on a best-effort basis through third party merchant establishments who are independent contractors and are neither agents nor employees of Deem. Deem does not accept responsibility for the quality of goods or services provided by the merchant establishments participating in the Cash Up Program. Deem neither offers, nor endorses, nor guarantees any of the goods, services, information or recommendations provided by third party merchant establishments to the Customer and makes no warranties and assumes no liability with respect to the products and services provided by third party merchant establishments. Deem shall not be held responsible in any way for the quality, suitability, fitness, and delays in the provision of the gift vouchers by the third party merchant establishments nor can Deem guarantee the exchange of any of these.

All disputes in this regard shall be taken up directly by the Customer with the participating establishment.

Gift vouchers to be utilized within the validity period only. Re-validation of vouchers will not be possible.

The use of a gift voucher is subject to the terms and conditions stated therein. A gift voucher can only be redeemed once unless otherwise specified on the gift voucher.

Redemption of gift vouchers is subject to availability.

For any change in gift vouchers, products or travel bookings the customer must reach out to the respective third party merchant and Deem shall not be liable for any such change requests.

Deem may provide reward redemption choices of vouchers, good or services issued by participating merchants (Merchants) from time to time at its sole discretion. Deem will not be liable to replace vouchers, goods or services that are lost or destroyed, neither will Deem exchange vouchers, goods or services for any reason whatsoever.

The use of a voucher shall constitute a purchase of goods or services by the person using the voucher from the Merchant supplying such goods or services, and Deem assumes no liability or responsibility whatsoever for the acts or default of the Merchant (including the failure of the Merchant to honour any Voucher) or in respect of the availability and or any defect or deficiency in the goods or services for which any Voucher is redeemed. Deem is not an agent of the Merchant. Any disputes about quality or performance should be resolved directly with the Merchant.

Deem will not be responsible for lost or stolen vouchers redeemed through the Cash Up program.

Redemption orders once given to Deem cannot be cancelled, withdrawn or changed. Redeemed Cash Up are not exchangeable for other Rewards or refundable, replaceable or transferable for cash or credit under any circumstances.

Upon redemption of the Cash Up for any of the available redemption options, the Customers available balance of Cash Up will be subtracted accordingly with the amount requested for redemption.

The Customer cannot transfer Cash Up to another Customer.



Miles Up redemption

Primary Cardholders can request to redeem their Miles Up through Deem mobile app or online portal.

The value of Miles Up earned is 100 Deem Miles Up = 1 AED

Deem may at its sole discretion and without prior notice amend the redemption value of Miles Up.

In order to be eligible to redeem Miles Up for Rewards, there must be sufficient Miles Up in the Customer’s Rewards account to cover the entire redemption value of the elected Reward(s). If the amount of the Miles Up is not sufficient to cover the entire redemption value of the Reward(s), the Customer may make the purchase using their Deem Credit Card for the deficit amount.

The Customer must have 10,000 Miles Up to be able to redeem their Miles Up for Rewards on the Rewards portal.

Customers have the option of redeeming their Miles Up against flights or hotel bookings, buying electronics or against gift vouchers listed on the Deem rewards online portal. Goods/services cannot be exchanged for cash (in part or in full).

All online gift vouchers are available on a best-effort basis through third party merchant establishments who are independent contractors and are neither agents nor employees of Deem. Deem does not accept responsibility for the quality of goods or services provided by the merchant establishments participating in the Miles Up Program. All disputes in this regard shall be taken up directly by the Customer with the participating establishment.

Goods, services or gift vouchers to be utilized within the validity period only. Re-validation of these will not be possible.

Provided that the card account is in good standing and that there is sufficient Miles Up in the Customer’s Rewards account, a Customer may select to redeem one or more of the Rewards, via such redemption channels available to the Customer. In the event that the Customer’s Credit Card account is no longer in good standing, then Deem retains the right to suspend the Customer’s Miles Up program.


Cash Up expiry

No expiry for the accumulated Cash Up until 31st Dec’2021

With effect from 1st Jan’22, a Customer has to undertake at least one Retail Transaction, for any amount, once in six (6) months, to avoid Cash Up points being forfeited. If a Customer does not make even a single Retail transaction on the Deem Credit Card for continuous six (6) statement cycles, all available Cash Up points balance will be forfeited. Such forfeited Cash Up points will not be reinstated if the Customer subsequently resumes spending on Deem Credit Card.

In the event of a voluntary closure of the Credit Card by the primary Cardholder, the Customer must redeem all accumulated Cash Up before closure or all accumulated Cash Up will be forfeited.

In the event of card cancellation or if the card is blocked, written off, suspended for any reason whatsoever, all accumulated Cash Up will stand forfeited.


Miles Up expiry

Currently there is no expiry date for the Miles Up.

In the event of a voluntary closure of the Credit Card by the primary Cardholder, the Customer must redeem all accumulated Miles Up before closure or the accumulated balance of reward points will expire.

In the event of card cancellation or if the card is blocked, written off, suspended for any other reason, all accumulated Miles Up will stand forfeited.


Cash Up General

Cash Up will be offered only for Retail Transactions made on the Deem Cash Up Credit Cards.

Cash Up is not exchangeable, refundable, replaceable or transferable under any circumstances, nor can they be converted to Cash Up accrued.

Cash advances, any fees/charges and disputed transactions will not earn Cash Up.

The Cash Up accrued is redeemable at the discretion of Deem.

Any abuse of or fraud relating to the earning and redemption of Cash Up in the program may result in the cancellation and forfeiture of the Cash Up and may also result in card termination.

Deem reserves the right to suspend, cancel, modify or substitute the Cash Up program conditions or the method of computation of the Cash Up or the Cash Up terms and conditions at any time without prior notice to the Customer.

Deem’s decision on the computation, redemption, cancellation, forfeiture, credit or debit of Cash Up will be final, conclusive and binding on the Customer and will not be liable to be disputed or questioned.

Deem may impose fees on the program or change the conditions of the program at its sole discretion from time to time.

Spend Categories that get included in this program are at the sole discretion of Deem. Spend categories may be increased, decreased or modified as determined from time to time by Deem.

In case of a disputed transaction being resolved in favour of the Customer and/or where a transaction is reversed, the equivalent Cash Up will also be reversed.

By participating in the Deem Cash Up program, you consent to sharing your profile information (restricted to rewards fulfillment/delivery) with any third party partner, agent, merchant establishment. 

All rewards delivery whether products/vouchers will be fulfilled by the said partner, merchant establishment at the registered communication details updated by Deem.

Deem reserves the right to wholly or partially modify the Cash Up program. Deem also reserves the right to change the Cash Up conversion rate, withdraw Cash Up awarded or to alter any of the terms and conditions herein in its absolute discretion and without prior notice to Customers.

In the event that any provision of the Cash Up program conflicts with any rule, regulation or order of any statutory authority, Deem will have the absolute authority and right to modify or cancel the program to remain compliant with the relevant rule, regulation or order.

Information supplied by the Customer on the redemption of certain products/services may be used by Deem or its third party service providers for administrative, research or marketing purposes.

The existence of a dispute, if any, with a third party shall not constitute a claim against Deem.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Cash Up program shall be referred to and be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the federal courts of the UAE.

Determination of the eligibility requirements for the issuance of a Deem Credit Card is at the sole discretion of Deem. All features and benefits are subject to the Terms and Conditions available on Deem website.

 

Miles Up General

Miles Up will be offered only for Retail Transactions made on the Deem Miles Up Credit Cards.

Miles Up accrued on the Miles Up Rewards program cannot be transferred, exchanged or bartered for any other Rewards offered by Deem independently or under any other loyalty program.

Miles Up accrued is redeemable at the discretion of Deem.

Any abuse or fraud relating to the earning and redemption of Miles Up in the program may result in the cancellation and forfeiture of the Miles Up and may also result in card termination.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Miles Up program shall be referred to and be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the federal courts of the UAE.

Easy Payment Plan

We shall offer Easy Payment Plan (hereinafter referred to as ‘EPP’) to Deem Credit card holders.

EPP is a repayment plan which allows you to repay in instalments over a tenor of 3 to 24 months. You can convert either your retail purchases over AED 250 or your credit card outstanding amount. The eligibility of the EPP is subject to approval from Deem at the time of application.EPP is available to all Deem customers who hold valid Credit Cards issued by Deem in the United Arab Emirates and make point of sale or online transactions above a minimum threshold amount identified by Deem from time to time.

Eligibility of card-holder to avail the EPP depends on his good standing of credit card at the time of request, repayment history and general performance of all Deem products. At the time of request, card shall not be blocked, outstanding balance is not over the limit and cardholder is regular on payments of all Deem products, for the eligibility.

Upon receipt of a Request by the Cardholder, Deem may approve or reject the EPP request. Once approved, EPP will be processed and details of the same will reflect in the subsequent month’s Credit Card statement.

By applying for an EPP, cardholder accepts the Monthly Instalment, the Tenure, the interest, fees and charges that will be levied by Deem as per the schedule of fee and charges.

The Request for EPP should be submitted at least 5 business days before the payment due date (as per the Credit Card statement).

Upon successful booking of the EPP, each outstanding monthly Instalment amount that is at that time due shall be specified in each account statement and will be due in each month forming part of the minimum amount payable.

In summary, Cardholders availing of the EPP will be charged as per below, on the total outstanding(s) on the Credit Card:

a. A non-refundable interest,

b. A processing fee for converting cardholder’s purchase transaction into EPP, and /or

c. Prepayment / Cancellation fee

d. In each case at the rate specified by Deem on its website

Interest will be payable in respect of each Instalment under the relevant EPP and shall be debited from the Card Account at the times determined by Deem and notified to the Cardholder.

The amount of the EPP transaction is included within the credit limit of the Credit Card and not in addition to the credit limit. As each payment is made towards the instalments each month, the available credit limit will be restored.

If the Cardholder is two instalments overdue under the EPP, Deem shall cancel the EPP and convert the EPP balance amount into a regular revolving interest bearing transaction. Upon cancellation of the EPP, the EPP balance amount would be billed at retail interest rate.

Successful Direct Debit Authorization (DDA) towards payment of Deem Credit card is a mandatory requirement to be met by the card holder, in order to avail EPP facility on Deem Credit Cards.

Deem may, in its sole and absolute discretion and without notice, withdraw or revise this Terms and conditions governing this Easy Payment Plan.

Cancellation / Early-closure of EPP:

a. EPP will be cancelled, on customer request, for the transactions which are refunded or voided.

b. Card-holder may request for the cancellation of an EPP. Deem shall cancel the plan in 30 days from the date of receipt of the card-holder’s cancellation request, and charge the balance amount due to the Credit Card account which forms part of the current outstanding balance on the Credit Card with effect from the date of cancellation.

c. Card-holder may choose to prepay the total balance on the “Easy payment plan” in one payment. Deem may charge a cancellation fee from time-to-time at its sole discretion towards the early closure of the plans.

d. A cancellation fee may be charged by Deem which may vary time-to-time at its sole discretion towards the cancellation of the ongoing EPP.

Easy Cash EPP

1. DEFINITIONS

In these Terms and Conditions where the context so admits the following expressions shall have the meanings herein designated unless the context otherwise requires:

1.1 “Easy Cash EPP” means the loan to be granted to the Credit Card holder by Deem according to these terms and conditions and includes Loan on Phone (LOP) products and the loans entered into via internet.

1.2 “Manager’s Cheque” means the cheque or any means of payment issued by Deem in favor of the Credit Card holder upon issue of Easy Cash EPP.

2. ELIGIBILITY

2.1 Easy Cash EPP is offered exclusively to Deem Primary Credit Card holders who meet the criteria determined.

2.2 The Credit Card holder shall only be eligible for Easy Cash EPP if he/she is within Deem’s criteria determined in accordance with Clause 2.1 above.

2.3 Deem shall grant Easy Cash EPP requested by the Credit Card holder at its sole discretion and reserves the right to reject an application for an Easy Cash EPP to any Credit Card holder without providing rationale for rejection. Deem may cancel, by notice to the Credit Card holder, its commitment to make Easy Cash EPP available or reduce the amount of Easy Cash EPP.

3. EASY CASH EPP Amount

3.1 The amount of any Easy Cash EPP shall be determined by Deem at its sole discretion and it shall not in any case exceed the Credit Card holder’s unutilized Credit Limit.

3.2 The Credit Card holder may request the amount of Easy Cash EPP from Deem, provided that the same is within the limit described in Clause 3.1 above.

3.3 Deem shall have the right to determine the amount of any Easy Cash EPP it grants at its sole discretion, provided that Easy Cash EPP is within the limit described in Clause 3.1 above and does not exceed the amount requested by the Credit Card holder.

4. BILLING

4.1 In consideration of Deem agreeing to make an Easy Cash EPP available to the Credit Card holder, the Credit Card holder agrees to repay the principal amount of the Easy Cash EPP plus all interest, charges and fees payable hereunder.

4.2 The Credit Card holder shall repay the Easy Cash EPP to Deem in monthly instalments during the term of the Easy Cash EPP booked.

4.3 The amount of each Easy Cash EPP monthly instalment shall be computed by dividing the total Easy Cash EPP amount by the number of months in the term selected by the Credit Card holder.

4.4 The total Easy Cash EPP amount shall be computed by adding the principal amount of Easy Cash EPP and the interest payable during the term of Easy Cash EPP.

4.5 Interest at the rate determined by Deem shall be charged on the Easy Cash EPP. Each Easy Cash EPP monthly instalment will include amounts for the repayment of principal and interest charges.

4.6 Easy Cash EPP monthly instalments shall be billed to the Credit Card holder in the Statement of Account. Billing shall commence from the first Statement of Account sent to the Credit Card holder following the disbursement of Easy Cash EPP.

5. REPAYMENT

5.1 The Credit Card holder shall be liable to pay the Easy Cash EPP in monthly instalments billed to the Statement of Account. If the Credit Card holder returns the full amount of Easy Cash EPP to Deem leaving Easy Cash EPP unused, any principal repayments charged to the Credit Card Account will be credited to the Card Account. Any interest payments and fees charged to the Credit Card Account will not be refunded to the Customer and will be considered as charges for the cancellation of Easy Cash EPP.

5.2 If the Credit Card holder pays less than the minimum payment due by the payment due date specified in the Statement of Account, charges and delay interest as per the attached terms and conditions and the Schedule of Fees and Charges will be applicable.

5.3 The Credit Card holder may repay the total Easy Cash EPP amount to Deem in one lump sum. A pre-closure fee at Deem’s prevailing rate shall be charged to the Credit Card holder in this case.

5.4 If the Credit Card holder fails to make payment in full of two consecutive Easy Cash EPP monthly instalments, the entire outstanding balance of the total Easy Cash EPP amount shall immediately become due and payable by the Credit Card holder, and Deem shall have the right to demand the immediate payment thereof.

5.5 Payments made in excess of the Credit Card outstanding will not automatically be adjusted against unbilled instalments and will hence not result in prepayment of Easy Cash EPP.

5.6 If an eligible Credit Card is cancelled prior to payment in full of all amounts outstanding under Easy Cash EPP facility, the entire amount outstanding on the eligible Credit Card (including billed and unbilled retail and cash transactions, all outstanding amounts under a Credit Card Instalment Facility, and all applicable fees and charges) shall be immediately due and payable by the eligible Credit Card holder, whereupon Deem shall have the right to demand immediate payment thereof.

6. MISCELLANEOUS

6.1 Easy Cash EPP amount will be transferred to the Credit Card holder’s UAE Bank Account by deducting the available balance on your credit card account.

6.2 The available balance on the Credit Card account will be reduced to the extent of the principal loan availed and will be released as and when the monthly instalments are billed and paid in the subsequent months.

6.3 Applications for a top up of a previously granted Easy Cash EPP that has been partially repaid by a customer will be considered in accordance with Deem`s policy at its sole discretion.

6.4 The Cash Up or Miles Up rewards points will not accrue on Easy Cash EPP transaction amount.

6.5 Deem reserves the right to terminate the Easy Cash EPP service without prior notice.

Balance Transfer

‘Balance Transfer’ facility is available to eligible Deem customers who hold valid Credit Cards issued by Deem Finance LLC in the United Arab Emirates.

Upon receipt of a Request by the Customer, Deem holds the authority to either approve or reject the requested balance transfer. If approved, customer will be informed with the details of the ‘Balance Transfer’.

Customer is responsible to continue to make timely payments to all the non-Deem Credit Cards while the application for Balance Transfer (BT) at Deem is still in process. Deem shall not be liable for any late payment fee, interest, fee, liabilities or obligations in respect of the customer’s non-Deem Credit Cards due to lack of timely payments from customer’s end, while the BT request is under process.

The approved BT amount may vary from what the customer has applied for.

Prevailing fee and charges for ‘Balance Transfer’ will apply.

The total amount of ‘Balance Transfer’ is included within the credit limit of the Credit Card and not in addition to the credit limit.

Customer shall also provide with the details of Credit Card accounts for the disbursement of ‘Balance Transfer’ amount. The disbursement is done via UAE FTS.

Successful Direct Debit Authorization (DDA) towards payment of Deem Credit Card is a mandatory requirement to be met by the Customer, in order to avail Balance Transfer facility on Deem Credit Cards.

Successful activation of the Deem Credit Card with-in 30 days of Credit Card issuance is a mandatory requirement to be met by the Customer, in order to avail Balance Transfer facility on Deem Credit Cards.

Deem may specify a minimum and maximum outstanding balance to be eligible for transfer to the Card Account.

Deem may, in its sole and absolute discretion and without notice, withdraw or revise the terms and conditions pertaining to ‘Balance Transfer’.

Supplementary Card

Supplementary card applicant must be 16+ years of Age. Supplementary card applicant must be directly related to the Primary cardholder (Spouse/ Parents/Children/Siblings)

Upon request by The “Principal Cardholder”, Deem at its sole discretion and determination may agree to issue a “Supplementary Card” and charge fees for such issuance. The “Principal Cardholder” shall be fully responsible and liable for payment of the value of The “Card Transactions” made by The “Supplementary Card”.

No separate credit limit will be assigned to the Supplementary card(s). The “Credit Limit” assigned to The “Principal Cardholder” shall be inclusive of The “Credit Limit” assigned to The “Supplementary Cardholder”.

All limits on cashback/ offers applicable on the primary card account will be for the combined usage of Primary and Supplementary card(s)

The validity of the “Supplementary Card” shall at all times be dependent on the validity of The “Principal Card”. If The “Principal Card” is terminated or cancelled, The “Supplementary Card” shall automatically be terminated and cancelled, but not vice versa.

All the product specific T&Cs will remain same for both Primary and Supplementary card(s)

All terms and conditions stated hereunder in this Agreement and Deem General Terms and Conditions are fully binding on and applicable to The “Supplementary Cardholder” who will be severally and jointly liable with the “Principal Cardholder.
