Cash Up - Titanium Card

1. What is the Cash Up Titanium offer?

Deem’s Titanium Cash Up credit card allows you to earn Cash Up at an accelerated rate on the spend categories listed below:

• Supermarket & Grocery Stores

• Fuel Purchases at Gas Stations

• Utility Bills & spends at Government Services

With effect from 1st Jan’2022, the below Cash Up earn structure will apply to all existing and new Titanium Cash Up Credit Cards.

The Cash Up is earned on each transaction individually. With each transaction made in the above spend categories with your Deem Titanium Credit Card you will earn Cash Up based on:

• The spend category it belongs to

• The value of the purchase made on the Credit Card

This will define the spend-tier that the purchase falls into and the rate of Cash Up that it will earn.

Titanium Cash Up Cardholder can earn a maximum of 500 Accelerated Cash Up points in a statement cycle. There is no limit on Cash up points earned for spends classified under ‘All other Retail Purchases’.

For a cardholder to be eligible to earn accelerated Cash Up points, a minimum cumulative spend of AED 1,000 in a statement cycle is required. In case, the cumulative spends in a statement cycle is less than AED 1,000 then the Customer will earn Cash Up as per the applicable Cash Up Earn Rate for ‘All other Retail Purchases’.

If I make a purchase from a supermarket located within a department store or purchase supermarket items from a department store, will I get the accelerated Cash Up under the Titanium Cash Up offer?

Purchases done at supermarkets within the department stores or purchase of supermarket items from department stores will earn you Cash Up at the rate applicable to all ‘Other Retail Purchases’ and not the ‘Accelerated Cash Up’ rate.

In addition to the above mentioned spend categories, all other retail purchases made on the card will also earn Cash Up where the Cash Up will be calculated on the total sum of transactions as on the statement date.

Cash Up rates for accelerated spend categories apply irrespective if the transaction in done in the UAE or overseas i.e. AED or non-AED spends.

2. How does the Cash Up offer work?

Once you use our Deem Titanium Credit Card, you earn Cash Up based on the Titanium Cash Up table.

3. How will I know how much Cash Up I have earned?

The Cash Up amount that you have earned will appear in your monthly Credit Card statement. The value of Cash Up is as below:

1 Cash Up point = AED 1

The number of accelerated Cash Up earned will reflect as ‘Accelerated Cash Up’ on Deem rewards portal and Cash Up earned on other retail purchases will reflect as ‘Regular Cash Up’.

4. Does my supplementary card also earn Cash Up?

Yes. Transactions on your supplementary card and virtual card will be eligible for Cash Up and will appear on the primary card account. 

5. What is the minimum amount to be spent to earn Cash Up?

There is no minimum spend required to be eligible for Cash Up under the Titanium Cash Up offer.

However, for a cardholder to be eligible to earn accelerated Cash Up points, a minimum cumulative spend of AED 1,000 in a statement cycle is required. In case, the cumulative spends in a statement cycle is less than AED 1,000 then the Customer will earn Cash Up as per the applicable Cash Up Earn Rate for ‘All other Retail Purchases’.

6. Will I get Cash Up on every purchase within the spend categories included in the Titanium Cash Up offer?

Every retail transaction done on Credit Cards has a specific Merchant Category Code (MCC). MCCs are defined by MasterCard to classify transactions.

Each Titanium spend category is a group of single/multiple MCCs. When the retail transaction made by you falls under the MCCs covered under the specific Titanium spend categories, the transaction will receive Accelerated Cash Up, Subject to a minimum cumulative spend at AED 1000 in a statement cycle.

If a transaction does not fall under the respective spend category or if any merchant uses an MCC that is different from the one categorised by Mastercard, then that particular transaction will not earn Accelerated Cash Up. In such cases, the Cash Up will be received at the rate applicable to all ‘Other Retail Purchases’.

7. How do I redeem Cash Up?

You can redeem your Deem Cash Up, through the Deem mobile app or online portal.

8. What are the options available to redeem my Cash Up?

You can redeem your Cash Up for the following options:

• Cashback Credit on the Statement: You have the option to request for the accumulated Cash Up to be redeemed in the form of credit on the upcoming statement and the same will added to the your available credit limit.

• Online Gift Vouchers: You have the option to redeem your accumulated Cash Up for online vouchers. To check the vouchers available for redemption, please visit www.deemrewards.io

• Pay with Points: You have the option to request for whole or part of your accumulated Cash Up to be redeemed against the next purchase.

9. How many days will the redemption take?

Upon receiving the redemption request, the Cash Up redeemed would be automatically deducted from the total Cash Up accumulated.

The Cashback credit will be processed within five (5) working days in the UAE.

The online vouchers request will be processed with two working days in the UAE.

If you have redeemed your Cash Up partially or in full via Pay with Points, then the same will reflect in the upcoming statement.

10. Is there a minimum number of Cash Up required to request for redemption?

The minimum number of Cash Up points required for redemption is 100 Cash Up.

11. Can I settle my card payments with Cash Up?

The accrued Cash Up can be redeemed as a credit to your primary Credit Card. When redeemed, the equivalent value will reflect as a credit in the next statement of your card. This credit will reduce the total outstanding on your card and add to your available credit limit. This will not offset any payment on your card.

12. How much Cash Up can I earn?

You can earn up to a maximum of 500 Cash Up for spends done under Accelerated Spends categories viz. Supermarkets and Grocery Stores, Fuel, Utilities and Government Spends.

There is no maximum limit on Cash Up earned for spends classified under ‘All other Retail Purchases’.

13. When does Cash Up expire?

With effect from 1st January’ 2022, Titanium Cash Up cardholders has to undertake at least one Retail Transaction, for any amount, once in six (6) months, to avoid Cash Up points being forfeited. If a Customer does not make even a single Retail Transaction on the Deem Credit Card for consecutive six (6) statement cycles, all available Cash Up points balance in the customer’s account will be forfeited. Such forfeited Cash Up points will not be reinstated if the Customer subsequently resumes spending on Deem Credit Card.

Who do I contact in case of any issue faced with my online gift voucher or items purchased on the rewards portal?

Please contact the merchant from whom the confirmation of the products/vouchers received for any issues or clarification on the products purchased.

Deem has reward partners supplying goods and services under Deem Cash Up program that are independent contractors and are neither agents nor employees of Deem. Deem neither offers, endorses, nor guarantees any of the goods, services, information or recommendations provided by third parties to customers, and therefore makes no warranties and assumes no liability with respect to the products and services provided by Deem’s reward partners. Deem shall not be held responsible in any way for the quality, suitability, fitness, and delays in the provision of the vouchers by the reward partners.

14. Are there any transactions that are not eligible for earning Cash Up?

The following transactions are not eligible for Cash Up:

• Balance transfers

• Cash on phone

• Cash advances

• Interest charges

• Fees and commissions

• Credit card payments

• Merchant refunds

• Quasi Cash transactions: Wire Transfer Money Order, Quasi Cash- Member Financial Institution, MasterCard- Quasi Cash-Merchant, Visa- None Financial Institutions- foreign currency, money orders (not wire transfer), & Travelers Cheques, Government-Owned Lotteries, Government-Licensed Horse/Dog Racing, Government-Licensed On-Line Casinos (On-Line Gambling), Betting MCCs

• Any other transaction determined by Deem from time to time

15. Do I need to register to receive Cash Up?

You are automatically enrolled into the Titanium Cash Up offer for all Titanium cards issued upon activation.

Cash Up - Platinum Card

1. What is the Deem Platinum Cash Up offer?

Deem’s Platinum Cash Up credit card allows you to earn Cash Up at an accelerated rate on the spend categories listed below:

- Departmental Stores

- Online Shopping

- Entertainment

With effect from 1st Jan’2022, the below Cash Up earn structure will apply to all existing and new Platinum Cash Up Credit Cards.

• With effect from 1st Jan’2022, Platinum Cash Up Cardholder can earn a maximum of 500 Accelerated Cash Up points in a statement cycle. There is no limit on Cash up points earned for spends classified under ‘All other Retail Purchases’.

• With effect from 1st Jan’2022, for a cardholder to be eligible to earn accelerated Cash Up points, a minimum cumulative spend of AED 1,000 in a statement cycle is required. In case, the cumulative spends in a statement cycle is less than AED 1,000 then the Customer will earn Cash Up as per the applicable Cash Up Earn Rate for ‘All other Retail Purchases’.

• Cash Up earn rate is 0.50% for sum of cycle spends on Utility Bills, Fuel & Government Services & related purchases.

• Cash Up rates for accelerated categories apply irrespective if the transaction in done in the UAE or overseas AED or non-AED spends.

2. How will I know how much Cash Up I have earned?

The Cash Up amount that you have earned will appear in your monthly Credit Card statement.

The number of accelerated Platinum Cash Up earned on the above spend categories will reflect as 'Accelerated Cash Up' on the Deem rewards portal. 3. Does my supplementary card also earn Cash Up?

6. Will I get platinum Cash Up on every purchase in the spend categories in the program?

Every retail transaction done on Credit Cards has a specific Merchant Category Code (MCC). MCCs are defined by MasterCard/VISA to classify transactions.

Each Platinum Spend category is a group of single/multiple MCCs. When the retail transaction made by you falls under the MCCs covered under the specific Platinum spend categories (Department Store, online shopping and entertainment), the transaction will receive Accelerated Cash Up, subject to a minimum cumulative spend at AED 1000 in a statement cycle.

If a transaction does not fall under the above mentioned categories or if any merchant uses an MCC that is different from the one categorised by Mastercard/VISA, then that particular transaction will earn Cash Up at the rate applicable as per the table for ‘Other Retail Purchases’.

Spend category of Department Store includes all merchants classified by Mastercard as Discount Store, Department Stores, Variety Stores, Men's & Boys' Clothing and Accessory Stores, Women's Ready-to-Wear Stores, Children's and Infants' Wear Stores, Family Clothing Stores, Sports and Riding Apparel Stores, Shoe Stores, Men's and Women's Clothing Stores, Miscellaneous Apparel and Accessory Stores, Sporting Goods Stores, Miscellaneous & Specialty Retail Stores.

Spend category Online Shopping includes merchants classified by Mastercard as websites / portals selling General Merchnadise, catalogs etc. Supermarket and Grocery shopping done online will NOT be eligible for Accelerated Cash Up.   

Spend category of Entertainment includes all merchants classified by Mastercard as Boat Rentals and Leasing, Sporting and Recreational Camps, Theatrical Producers [except Motion Pictures] and Ticket Agencies, Billiards & Pool Establishments, Bowling Alleys, Tourist Attractions and Exhibits, Public Golf Courses, Video Amusement Game Supply, Video Game Arcades and Establishments, Amusement Parks, Circuses, Carnivals, and Fortune Tellers, Aquarium, Seaquarium, Dolphinariums and Recreation Services.

On all purchases made on Utility Bills, Government Services and Fuel & related purchases, you will earn Cash Up of 0.50%. All such transactions are summed up till the billing cycle and the Cash Up rate of 0.50% is applied.

7. How do I redeem Cash Up?

You can redeem your Deem Cash Up through the Deem mobile app or online portal.

8. What are the options available to redeem my Cash Up?

You can redeem your Cash Up for the following options

• Cashback Credit on the Statement

You have the option to request for the accumulated Cash Up to be redeemed in the form of a credit on the upcoming statement and the same will add to your available credit limit.

The Cash Up is earned on each transaction individually. With each transaction made in the above spend categories with your Deem World Credit Card, you will earn Cash Up based on:

• The spend category it belongs to

• The value of the purchase made on the Credit Card

This will define the spend-tier that the purchase falls into and the rate of Cash Up that it will earn. In addition to the above mentioned spend categories, all other retail purchases made on the card will also earn Cash Up where the Cash Up will be calculated on the total sum of transactions as on the statement date. 

World Cash Up Cardholder can earn a maximum of 750 Accelerated Cash Up points in a statement cycle. There is no limit on Cash up points earned for spends classified under ‘All other Retail Purchases’.

For a cardholder to be eligible to earn accelerated Cash Up points, a minimum cumulative spend of AED 3,000 in a statement cycle is required.
