Cash Up definitions:

“Accelerated Cash Up” means Cash Up earned on the Titanium, Platinum and World Credit Card based on pre-defined accelerated spend categories.

“Accelerated Spend Categories” means merchant category codes that provide Accelerated Cash Up as set out in the Cash Up table. The lists of spend categories eligible for Accelerated Cash Up is at the sole discretion of Deem.

“Customer” means a Deem customer holding a valid and activated Deem credit card.

“Cardholder” includes a Deem primary credit card customer and a supplementary credit card customer.

“Cash Up Program” refers to the loyalty program applicable to Deem Titanium Cash Up Credit Cards, Deem Platinum Cash Up Credit Cards and Deem World Cash Up Credit Cards under which Customer earns Cash Up based on his spend.

“Cash Up” means Cash Up currency earned on the Credit Card. All Cash Up earned is maintained in the form of Cash Up. The conversion of Cash Up to AED is: 1 Cash Up = 1 AED

“Cash Up Table” means a table that details the applicable spend tiers and the Cash Up rate specifically designed for a Titanium Credit Card, Platinum Credit Card and a World Credit Card.

“MCC” means a merchant category code defined by Mastercard/Visa to classify transactions. The categorisation of an MCC is done at the sole discretion of Mastercard/Visa in accordance with their respective policies and Deem has no responsibility or say in the same.

“Retail Transactions” means purchases made on the Deem Credit Card by the Customer that excludes cash advances, quasi cash transactions, any refunds, any bank charge reversals, balance transfer transactions, credit card payments or any other transaction as determined by Deem from time to time.

“Spend Categories” means a group of MCCs, single or multiple. The list of Spend categories is at the sole discretion of Deem.

“Sum of Cycle” means the total sum of all purchases done and posted on the credit card during a particular credit card statement period.


Miles Up definitions:

“Accelerated Miles Up” means the Miles Up earned by the Customer on certain Accelerated Spend Categories.

“Accelerated Spend Categories“ means the merchant category codes that get accelerated miles that are also detailed in the Miles Up table. The list of Spend Categories eligible for accelerated Miles Up is at the sole discretion of Deem. They may be increased, decreased or modified as determined from time to time by Deem.

“Deem Miles Up Program” refers to the loyalty program applicable to Deem Titanium Miles Up Credit Cards, Deem Platinum Miles Up Credit Cards and Deem World Miles Up Credit Cards under which Customer earns Miles Up based on his spend.

“Earn Rate” means the rate at which Miles will accrue to the Customer for every retail transaction as detailed in the Miles table. Deem reserves the right to change the earn rate applicable at its own discretion.

“MCC” means a merchant category code defined by MasterCard/Visa to classify transactions. The categorisation of an MCC is done at the sole discretion of MasterCard/Visa in accordance with their respective policies and Deem has no responsibility or say in the same.

“Retail Transactions” means purchases made on the Deem Credit Card by the card member that excludes cash advances, quasi cash transactions, any refunds, any bank charge reversals, Balance Transfer transactions, utility bills, credit card payments or any other transaction as determined by the bank from time to time.

“Rewards Partners” means the independent third party designated on Deem’s reward portal to provide Deem credit card Customers with Rewards.

“Rewards” means specified goods and/or services provided by Deem or any Rewards Partner in exchange for Miles Up in accordance with the Miles Up terms and conditions.

“Spend categories” means a group of MCC, single or multiple. The list of Spend Categories is at the sole discretion of Deem and final and binding to the program. They may be increased, decreased or modified as determined from time to time by Deem.

“Sum of Cycle” means the total sum of all purchases done and posted on the credit card during a particular credit card statement period

“ Miles Up” is the reward currency in terms of travel miles for Deem Miles Up Program.

Titanium Cash Up proposition:

The Titanium Cash Up campaign offer is available on Deem Titanium Credit Cards for the campaign period

Cash Up is earned on Retail Transactions as defined in the campaign Titanium Cash Up table below

The list of Merchant Category Codes MCCs that are included in the program are at the sole discretion of Deem.

Cash Up on the Accelerated Spend Categories is calculated per transaction made and hence each purchase will start earning Cash Up based on:

a.The Accelerated Spend Category it belongs to

b.Per Transaction value

The above two factors will decide the spend tier that the purchase falls under and the applicable Cash Up rate.

Cash Up rates for Accelerated Spend Categories apply irrespective of whether the transaction in undertaken in the UAE or Overseas.

Participation in the Titanium Cash Up campaign is automatic, provided that the Titanium Credit Card account is active and in good standing (including but not limited to the fact that the customer has failed to make his contractual monthly payments).

Transactions on supplementary credit cards will also earn Cash Up and this Cash Up will accrue to the account of the primary credit cardholder.

The maximum Cash Up that the Customer can earn on the Titanium Cash Up Credit Card for Movies is 60 Cash Up points per billing cycle for the period of the campaign

Deem,and Mastercard is/are not responsible if a Retail Transaction does not get captured under the appropriate MCC or if any merchant has different MCC to the one categorised by MasterCard/Visa.

All other redemption and generic terms and conditions to Cash Up points continue to apply

The Titanium Cash Up campaign is valid for spends made in 3 billing cycles between 1st March 2020 and 29th June 2020

Retail Transactions at department stores or at supermarkets within department stores are not eligible for accelerated Cash Up, unless stores have specifically used the supermarket merchant category codes.

Cash Up on the Accelerated Spend Categories is calculated per transaction made and hence each purchase will start earning Cash Up based on:

a. The Accelerated Spend Category it belongs to

b. Per Transaction value

The above two factors will decide the spend tier that the purchase falls under and the applicable Cash Up rate.

The descriptions of the Spends Categories provided in the table are illustrative and not comprehensive. Only Retail Transactions made under specific MCCs will be eligible under the Cash Up program.

Cash Up rates for Accelerated Spend Categories apply irrespective if the transaction in done in the UAE or overseas.

All “Other Retail Purchases” done and posted up to the billing cycle and reflecting on the credit card statement will be summed and the applicable Cash Up rate will be applied as per the Titanium Cash Up table.

All Cash Up earned by the Customer will accumulate as Cash Up on the primary Cardholder’s account.

Platinum Cash Up proposition

The Platinum Cash Up campaign offer is available on Deem Platinum Credit Cards for the campaign period

Cash Up is earned on Retail Transactions as defined in the campaign Platinum Cash Up table below

Cash Up Earn Rate is 0.50% for the Sum of Cycle spends on Fuel, Transport, Utility Bills, Government Services and related Merchant Category Codes MCCs.

The list of MCCs that are included in the program are at the sole discretion of Deem.

Cash Up on the Accelerated Spend Categories is calculated per billing cycle and hence each purchase will start earning Cash Up based on the Accelerated Spend Category it belongs to the above two factors will decide the spend tier that the purchase falls under and the applicable Cash Up rate.

Cash Up rates for Accelerated Spend Categories apply irrespective of whether the transaction in undertaken in the UAE or Overseas participation in the Platinum Cash Up campaign is automatic, provided that the Platinum Credit Card account is active and in good standing (including but not limited to the fact that the customer has failed to make his contractual monthly payments).

Transactions on supplementary credit cards will also earn Cash Up and this Cash Up will accrue to the account of the primary credit cardholder.

The maximum Cash Up that the Customer can earn on the Platinum Cash Up Credit Card for Movies is 100 Cash Up points per billing cycle for the period of the campaign.

Deem ,and Mastercard is/are not responsible if a Retail Transaction does not get captured under the appropriate MCC or if any merchant has different MCC to the one categorised by MasterCard/Visa. All other redemption and generic terms and conditions to Cash Up points continue apply.

The minimum monthly retail spends required to be eligible for a Platinum Cash Up is AED 1500. If the retail Sum of Cycle spend is aggregated to AED 1500 or more, then the Cash Up rate is applied based on the table above.

Cash Up Earn Rate is 0.50% for the Sum of Cycle spends on Fuel, Transport, Utility Bills, Government Services and related MCCs.

Cash Up rates for Accelerated Spend Categories apply irrespective of whether the transaction in undertaken in the UAE or Overseas.

The list of MCCs that are included in the Cash Up program is at the sole discretion of Deem.

Cash Up is earned for all shopping including online shopping at Department Stores on Ready-to-wear Apparel, Sportswear, Footwear, Handbags, Accessories, Cosmetics & Perfumes.

The descriptions of the Spend Categories provided in the table are illustrative and not comprehensive. Only Retail transactions made under specific MCCs will be eligible under the Cash Up program.

The Deem World Cash Up program is only available on Deem World Cash Up Credit Cards.

Cash Up is earned on Retail Transactions as defined in the World Cash Up table below:

Cash Up Earn Rate is 0.50% for Sum of Cycle spends on Fuel, Transport, Utility Bills, Government Services and related MCCs.

Cash Up rates for Accelerated Spend Categories apply irrespective of whether the transaction in undertaken in the UAE or Overseas.

The list of MCC’s that are included in the Cash Up program is at the sole discretion of Deem.

Cash Up on the Accelerated Spend Categories is calculated per transaction made and hence each purchase will start earning Cash Up based on:

Titanium Miles Up proposition:

The Titanium Miles Up program is only available on Deem Titanium Miles Up Credit Cards.

The Earn Rate for Retail Transactions are as defined in the Miles Up table below:

The minimum monthly retail spends required to start earning Miles Up is AED 1000.

Miles Up are earned for all shopping including online shopping that cover department stores, ready-to-wear apparel, sportswear, footwear, handbags, accessories, cosmetics & perfumes.

World Cash Up eligibility & earning:

Participation to the World Cash Up program is automatic, provided that the World Credit Card account is active and in good standing (including but not limited to the fact that the customer has failed to make his contractual monthly payments).

Transactions on supplementary credit card and virtual cards will also earn Cash Up and this Cash Up will accrue to the account of the primary Cardholder.

The Cash Up program applies to Retail Transactions only.

The amount of Accelerated Cash Up earned will reflect as “Accelerated Cash Up” on Deem rewards portal.

The amount of Cash Up earned on all Other Retail Transactions will reflect as “Regular Cash Up” on Deem rewards portal.

The Cash Up caps for all Retail Transactions for World Cash Up Credit Card is 20,000 Cash Up points across all spends.

There is no minimum spend required to earn Cash Up on the Wold Cash Up Credit Card.


Titanium Miles Up eligibility & earning:

Participation to the Titanium Miles Up program is automatic, provided that the Titanium Credit Card account is active and in good standing (including but not limited to the fact that the customer has failed to make contractual monthly payments).

Deem will update your account balance including Miles Up collected and spent and you can view your Miles Up balance on the monthly credit card statement.

Transactions on supplementary credit cards and virtual cards will also earn Miles Up and will accrue to the account of the primary credit cardholder.

The Deem Miles Up program applies to Retail Transactions only.

The amount of Accelerated Miles Up earned will reflect as “Accelerated Miles Up” on Deem rewards portal.

The amount of Miles Up earned on all Other Retail Transactions will reflect as “Regular Miles Up” on Deem rewards portal.

There is no minimum spend required to earn Miles Up on the Titanium Miles Up Credit Card.

The maximum Miles Up that the Customer can earn per billing cycle for all retail spend as per the Titanium Miles Up table is 50,000 Miles Up.

Deem reserves the right at any time without prior notice, including but not limited to the happening of any of the following events:

a. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions.

b. Supplying false or misleading information to us or our partners.

c. Abuse of any membership privileges.

d. Death or bankruptcy of the primary Cardholder.

to add and/or change the terms and conditions of the Deem Miles Up program, including, changing the number of Miles Up earned for spending, or the number of Miles Up required to redeem Rewards, impose caps and/or fees on earning and/or redeeming Miles Up, or cancel Rewards, suspend or terminate the Miles Up program.

Miles Up have no monetary value and cannot be sold, transferred or otherwise dealt with except in accordance with these terms and conditions.

Deem will not be held liable for any loss, theft, damage or unauthorised use of Miles Up.

All exclusions and limitations of liability in these terms and conditions apply for our security and the benefit of all partners and reward providers.

Partners and reward providers do not have any authority, expressed or implied, to make any representation or warranty on our behalf.

Each Customer’s Deem Miles Up Account can be viewed monthly on the card statement based on the retail purchases until the statement date of the Deem Credit Card of the Customer. Deem Miles Up will accrue at the Earn Rate. Deem may change the rates of accrual in its sole discretion without prior notice. Any such changes will be updated on the Website. The Customer is solely responsible for checking the Website at frequent intervals to keep abreast of any changes to the Deem Miles Up program Terms and Conditions.

Bonus Miles Up and spend bonus Miles Up will be awarded to the Customer upon the occurrence of the following conditions: (i) Upon payment of the annual fees in full once it is billed on or before the due date as per the statement; and (ii) Customer achieves a minimum spend as specified in the welcome pack over a period of 60 (sixty) days following the date of the credit card account approval. The Customer shall forfeit the entire acquisition bonus Miles Up and/or spend Rewards in the event any of the conditions specified in this paragraph are not met in time. The acquisition bonus Miles Up and the spend bonus Rewards will appear in the Customer’s Miles Up account in the following month.

Bonus Miles Up will be awarded to a Customer from time to time on account of select promotions and special offers which will be communicated to the Customer in the manner determined by Deem. Bonus Miles Up will be calculated on the basis of Retail Transactions billed to the card account for the relevant promotion period and are subject to the terms and conditions of the promotion.


Platinum Miles Up eligibility & earning:

Participation to the Platinum Miles Up program is automatic, provided that the Platinum Credit Card account is active and in good standing (including but not limited to the fact that the customer has failed to make his contractual monthly payment).

Deem will update your account balance including Miles Up collected and spent and you can view your Miles Up balance on the monthly credit card statement.

Transactions on supplementary credit card and virtual cards will also earn Miles Up and will accrue to the account of the primary Cardholder.

The Deem Miles Up program applies to Retail Transactions only.

The amount of Accelerated Miles Up earned will reflect as “Accelerated Miles Up” on Deem rewards portal.

The amount of Miles Up earned on all Other Retail Transactions will reflect as “Regular Miles Up” on Deem rewards portal.

There is no minimum spend required to earn Miles Up on the Platinum Miles Up Credit Card.

The maximum Miles Up that the Customer can earn per billing cycle for all retail spend as per the Platinum Miles Up table is 100,000 Miles Up.

Miles Up have no monetary value and cannot be sold, transferred or otherwise dealt with except in accordance with these terms and conditions.

Deem will not be held liable for any loss, theft, damage or unauthorised use of Miles Up.

All exclusions and limitations of liability in these terms and conditions apply for our security and the benefit of all partners and reward providers.

Each Customer’s Deem Miles Up Account will be credited daily and can be viewed monthly on the card statement based on the retail purchases until the statement date of the Deem Credit Card of the Customer. Deem Miles Up will accrue at the Earn Rate. Deem may change the rates of accrual in its sole discretion without prior notice. Any such changes will be updated on the Website. The Customer is solely responsible for checking the Website at frequent intervals to keep abreast of any changes to the Deem Miles Up program Terms and Conditions.

Bonus Miles Up and spend bonus Miles Up will be awarded to the Customer upon the occurrence of the following conditions: (i) Upon payment of the annual fees in full once it is billed on or before the due date as per the statement; and (ii) Customer achieves a minimum spend as specified in the welcome pack over a period of 60 (sixty) days following the date of the card account approval. The Customer shall forfeit the entire acquisition bonus Miles Up and/or spend bonus Rewards in the event any of the conditions specified in this paragraph are not met in time. The acquisition bonus Miles Up and the spend bonus Rewards will appear in the Customer’s Miles Up account in the following month.

Bonus Miles Up will be awarded to a Customer from time to time on account of select promotions and special offers which will be communicated to the Customer in the manner determined by Deem. Bonus Miles Up will be calculated on the basis of Retail Transactions billed to the Card Account for the relevant promotion period and are subject to the terms and conditions of the promotion.


World Miles Up eligibility & earning:

Participation to the World Miles Up program is automatic, provided that the World Credit Card account is active and in good standing (including but not limited to the fact that the customer has failed to make his contractual monthly payments).

Deem will update your account balance including Miles Up collected and spent and you can view your Miles Up balance on the monthly credit card Statement.

Transactions on supplementary credit card will also earn Miles Up and will accrue to the account of the primary Cardholder.

The Miles Up program applies to Retail Transactions only.

The amount of Accelerated Miles Up earned will reflect as “Accelerated Miles Up” on Deem rewards portal

The amount of Miles Up earned on all Other Retail Transactions will reflect as “Regular Miles Up” on Deem rewards portal.

There is no minimum spend required to earn Miles Up on the World Miles Up Credit Card.

The maximum Miles Up that the Customer can earn per billing cycle for all retail spend as per the World Miles Up table is 150,000 Miles Up.

Deem reserves the right at any time, without prior notice, including but not limited to the happening of any of the following events:

a. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions.

b. Supplying false or misleading information to us or our partners.

c. Abuse of any membership privileges.

d. Death or bankruptcy of the primary Cardholder.

to add and/or change the terms and conditions of the Deem Miles Up program including, changing the number of Miles Up earned for spending, or the number of Miles Up required to redeem Rewards, impose caps and/or fees on earning and/or redeeming Miles Up, or cancel Rewards without prior notice to the Customer.

Miles Up have no monetary value and cannot be sold, transferred or otherwise dealt with except in accordance with these terms and conditions.

Deem will not be held liable for any loss, theft, damage or unauthorised use of Miles Up.

All exclusions and limitations of liability in these terms and conditions apply for our security and the benefit of all partners and reward providers.

Partners and reward providers do not have any authority, expressed or implied, to make any representation or warranty on our behalf.

Each Customer’s Deem Miles Up Account will be credited daily and can be viewed monthly on the card statement based on the retail purchases until the statement date of the Deem Credit Card of the Customer. Deem Miles Up will accrue at the Earn Rate. Deem may change the rates of accrual in its sole discretion without prior notice. Any such changes will be updated on the Website. The Customer is solely responsible for checking the Website at frequent intervals to keep abreast of any changes to the Deem Miles Up program Terms and Conditions.

Bonus Miles Up and spend bonus Miles Up will be awarded to the Customer upon the occurrence of the following conditions: (i) Upon payment of the annual fees in full once it is billed on or before the due date as per the statement; and (ii) Customer achieving a minimum spend as specified in the welcome pack over a period of 60 (sixty) days following the date of the card account approval. The Customer shall forfeit the entire acquisition bonus Miles Up Rewards and/or spend bonus Rewards in the event any of the conditions specified in this paragraph are not timely met. The acquisition bonus Miles Up and the spend bonus Rewards will appear in Customer’s Miles Up account in the following month.

Cash Up redemption:

Redemption of Cash Up is not automatic. Primary credit card holders may use the Deem mobile app or online portal to redeem their Cash Up.

If the Customer requests to redeem the Cash Up for a Cash Up credit on the statement, then the credit will reduce the outstanding balance on the card and add to the Customer’s available credit limit. This credit will not offset any payments due on the card.

If the Customer requests for a Cash Up credit on the statement, the credit will reflect on the Customer’s account within five (5) working days from the date of receipt of the redemption request.

If the Customer requests to redeem Cash Up via pay with points, then the Customer will be able to view the credit against the transaction(s) selected in the next monthly credit card statement.

If the Customer redeems the reward points for online gift vouchers, then the Customer will receive an email confirmation within two (2) working days, based on the email address shared for the purpose or redemption, of the voucher from the merchant.

All online gift vouchers are available on a best-effort basis through third party merchant establishments who are independent contractors and are neither agents nor employees of Deem. Deem does not accept responsibility for the quality of goods or services provided by the merchant establishments participating in the Cash Up Program. Deem neither offers, nor endorses, nor guarantees any of the goods, services, information or recommendations provided by third party merchant establishments to the Customer and makes no warranties and assumes no liability with respect to the products and services provided by third party merchant establishments. Deem shall not be held responsible in any way for the quality, suitability, fitness, and delays in the provision of the gift vouchers by the third party merchant establishments nor can Deem guarantee the exchange of any of these.

All disputes in this regard shall be taken up directly by the Customer with the participating establishment.

Gift vouchers to be utilised within the validity period only. Re-validation of vouchers will not be possible.

The use of a gift voucher is subject to the terms and conditions stated therein. A gift voucher can only be redeemed once unless otherwise specified on the gift voucher.

Redemption of gift vouchers is subject to availability.

For any change in gift vouchers, products or travel bookings the customer must reach out to the respective third party merchant and Deem shall not be liable for any such change requests.

Deem may provide reward redemption choices of vouchers, good or services issued by participating merchants (Merchants) from time to time at its sole discretion. Deem will not be liable to replace vouchers, goods or services that are lost or destroyed, neither will Deem exchange vouchers, goods or services for any reason whatsoever.

The use of a voucher shall constitute a purchase of goods or services by the person using the voucher from the Merchant supplying such goods or services, and Deem assumes no liability or responsibility whatsoever for the acts or default of the Merchant (including the failure of the Merchant to honour any Voucher) or in respect of the availability and or any defect or deficiency in the goods or services for which any Voucher is redeemed. Deem is not an agent of the Merchant. Any disputes about quality or performance should be resolved directly with the Merchant.

Deem will not be responsible for lost or stolen vouchers redeemed through the Cash Up program.

Redemption orders once given to Deem cannot be cancelled, withdrawn or changed. Redeemed Cash Up are not exchangeable for other Rewards or refundable, replaceable or transferable for cash or credit under any circumstances.

Upon redemption of the Cash Up for any of the available redemption options, the Customers available balance of Cash Up will be subtracted accordingly with the amount requested for redemption.

The Customer cannot transfer Cash Up to another Customer.


Miles Up redemption:

Primary Cardholders can request to redeem their Miles Up through Deem mobile app or online portal.

The value of Miles Up earned is 100 Deem Miles Up = 1 AED

Deem may at its sole discretion and without prior notice amend the redemption value of Miles Up.

In order to be eligible to redeem Miles Up for Rewards, there must be sufficient Miles Up in the Customer’s Rewards account to cover the entire redemption value of the elected Reward(s). If the amount of the Miles Up is not sufficient to cover the entire redemption value of the Reward(s), the Customer may make the purchase using their Deem Credit Card for the deficit amount.

The Customer must have 10,000 Miles Up to be able to redeem their Miles Up for Rewards on the Rewards portal.

Customers have the option of redeeming their Miles Up against flights or hotel bookings, buying electronics or against gift vouchers listed on the Deem rewards online portal. Goods/services cannot be exchanged for cash (in part or in full).

All online gift vouchers are available on a best-effort basis through third party merchant establishments who are independent contractors and are neither agents nor employees of Deem. Deem does not accept responsibility for the quality of goods or services provided by the merchant establishments participating in the Miles Up Program. Deem neither offers, nor endorses, nor guarantees any of the goods, services, information or recommendations provided by third party merchant establishments to the Customer and makes no warranties and assumes no liability with respect to the products and services provided by third party merchant establishments. Deem shall not be held responsible in any way for the quality, suitability, fitness, and delays in the provision of the gift vouchers by the third party merchant establishments nor can Deem guarantee the exchange of any of these. All disputes in this regard shall be taken up directly by the Customer with the participating establishment.

Goods, services or gift vouchers to be utilised within the validity period only. Re-validation of these will not be possible.

The use of goods, services or gift voucher is subject to the terms and conditions stated therein. Goods, services and gift voucher can only be redeemed once unless otherwise specified.

Redemption of goods, services or gift vouchers is subject to availability.

Provided that the card account is in good standing and that there is sufficient Miles Up in the Customer’s Rewards account, a Customer may select to redeem one or more of the Rewards, via such redemption channels available to the Customer. In the event that the Customer’s credit card account is no longer in good standing. Then Deem retains the right to suspend the Customer’s Miles Up program.

Cash Up expiry:

Currently there is no expiry date for the Cash Up.

In the event of a voluntary closure of the credit card by the primary Cardholder, the Customer must redeem all accumulated Cash Up before closure or all accumulated Cash Up will be forfeited.

In the event of card cancellation or if the card is blocked, written off, suspended for any reason whatsoever, all accumulated Cash Up will stand forfeited.


Miles Up expiry:

Currently there is no expiry date for the Miles Up.

In the event of a voluntary closure of the credit card by the primary Cardholder, the Customer must redeem all accumulated Miles Up before closure or the accumulated balance of reward points will expire.

In the event of card cancellation or if the card is blocked, written off, suspended for any other reason, all accumulated Miles Up will stand forfeited.

Cash Up General:

Cash Up will be offered only for retail purchases made on the Deem Cash Up credit cards.

Cash Up is not exchangeable, refundable, replaceable or transferable under any circumstances, nor can they be converted to Cash Up accrued.

Cash advances, any fees/charges and disputed transactions will not earn Cash Up.

The Cash Up accrued is redeemable at the discretion of Deem.

Any abuse of or fraud relating to the earning and redemption of Cash Up in the program may result in the cancellation and forfeiture of the Cash Up and may also result in card termination.

Deem reserves the right to suspend, cancel, modify or substitute the Titanium Cash Up program conditions or the method of computation of the Cash Up or the Cash Up terms and conditions at any time without prior notice to the Customer.

Deem’s decision on the computation, redemption, cancellation, forfeiture, credit or debit of Cash Up will be final, conclusive and binding on the Customer and will not be liable to be disputed or questioned.

Deem may impose fees on the program or change the conditions of the program at its sole discretion from time to time.

Spend Categories that get included in this program are at the sole discretion of Deem. Spend categories may be increased, decreased or modified as determined from time to time by Deem.

In case of a disputed transaction being resolved in the favor of the Customer and/or where a transaction is reversed, the equivalent Cash Up will also be reversed.

By participating in the Deem Cash Up program, you consent to sharing your profile information (restricted to rewards fulfillment/delivery) with any third party partner, agent, merchant establishment. 

All rewards delivery whether products/vouchers will be fulfilled by the said partner, merchant establishment at the registered communication details updated with Deem.

Deem reserves the right to wholly or partly modify the Cash Up program. Deem also reserves the right to change the Cash Up conversion rate, withdraw Cash Up awarded or to alter any of the terms and conditions herein in its absolute discretion and without prior notice to Customers.

In case this Cash Up program conflicts with any rule, regulation or order of any statutory authority, then Deem has the absolute authority and right to modify or cancel this program to give effect to the said requirements.

Subject to discretion, information supplied by the Customer on the redemption of certain products/services may be used by Deem or its third party service providers for administrative, research or marketing purposes.

The existence of a dispute, if any, with a third party shall not constitute a claim against Deem.

Any disputes arising out of this program shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the UAE only.

Issuance of a credit card is at the sole discretion of Deem Finance LLC (“Deem”). All features and benefits are subject to Terms and Conditions

Zomato Gold Membership

Enrollment, Redemption and Expiry

Complimentary Zomato Gold Membership is available only for eligible Deem World and Deem Platinum credit cards booked from November 2019 for the promotion period.

The complimentary Zomato Gold Membership is valid for twelve (12) months from the date of activation.

Eligible Deem World and Platinum credit card holders will receive a promo code on their registered mobile number and email address upon activation and PIN generation.

The Deem World or Platinum credit card needs to be registered on Zomato as the default card to be eligible for the Zomato gold membership.

The Deem World or Platinum credit card needs to be used as the default payment method upon redeeming Zomato Gold voucher.

The Zomato Gold promo code needs to be activated using the Deem World or Platinum credit card within three (3) months of issuance of the Deem credit card

The free Zomato Gold annual membership may only be availed through promo codes provided to the World and Platinum credit card holder on their registered mobile number and email address. For the avoidance of doubt, Deem shall not be liable for any amount charged by Zomato to World and Platinum credit card holders on account of erroneous or incorrect promo codes.

General

The offers from Zomato in the form of discounts, benefits are provided by Zomato and not Deem. Deem assumes no responsibility with respect to the offers, discounts, promotions, services provided by Zomato.

Zomato is an independent contractor and Deem will have no liability to the card member for any claims which the card member may have against Zomato or Zomato partner restaurants for offers, discounts, promotions or services rendered by it to the card member.

Deem is not liable in case of any dissatisfaction with regard to delivery, service or quality of the Zomato Gold membership program.

Deem will not be liable for any errors, omissions, delays, or disruptions in the operation of Zomato Gold or Zomato Gold partner restaurants.

All queries related to Zomato services, redemption, discount disputes or partner restaurants are to be raised within two (2) working days to Zomato through the in app chat service.

Deem World and Platinum Credit card member must provide complete details to Zomato i.e. Merchant name and location, date of purchase, discount denied, discount voucher details and purchase information.

Zomato Gold membership and discounts provided are subject to the Terms and Conditions of Zomato which are available on www.zomato.com/conditions.

Deem reserves the right to amend its Terms and Conditions or withdraw this offer at any time without any prior notice.

By availing the Zomato Gold membership, the Deem World and Platinum Credit Card Member accepts and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Zomato may amend the Zomato Gold partner restaurants or discount offers at the partner restaurants at any time.

Partner restaurants may exclude products or services from being eligible for the discount offers without prior consent or notice to the customer. At certain partner restaurants, offers may be subject to availability and may be altered or withdrawn without notice.

Deem does not accept any liability or responsibility for the quality or suitability of products offered by Zomato Gold or its partner restaurants.

All conditions and warranties whether express or implied and whether arising under statute or otherwise as to the condition, suitability, quality, fitness or safety of any goods or services supplied by Zomato Gold and any of its partner restaurants are expressly excluded.

Deem’s interpretation of these Terms and Conditions is final and binding.

Valtrans Valet Parking Services

Deem World Credit Card holders are entitled to avail 6 complimentary standard valet parking services each month by presenting their Deem credit card in the below locations.

Deem Platinum Credit Card holders are entitled to avail 4 complimentary standard valet parking services each month by presenting their Deem credit card in the below locations. 

Utilization of standard valet parking service for Platinum and World cardholder is subject to a minimum monthly cumulative Spend of AED 3,000 and AED 6,000 respectively, in the previous billing cycle.

Any Additional valet parking usage (more than 4 and 6 parking services per month, for Platinum and World cardholders respectively) will be a paid service based on Valtrans Standard Valet parking service fee table below.

This will also apply in the event that the customer does not meet the minimum spend criteria.

The above rates are only for standard valet parking services.

This offer is valid only on Standard valet parking services and is not applicable on VIP services. If VIP services are availed by the customer, usage of one VIP service will be equivalent to 2 standard valet parking services.

The complementary valet parking services at Airports is available only for Deem World card holders. The same is valid only for the first hour of the parking (at Airports) and any subsequent hour(s) of parking is chargeable to cardholder.

In the event that the customer does not meet the minimum spend criteria or exceeds the stipulated complimentary visits, any such charges will be billed on the Deem credit card based on the table above.

Deem Offers

Deem Offers mobile application provides Discounted offers and ‘Buy one get one free’ offers at participating retailers. The Offers are managed by a third party, known as TravellerPass.

Deem Offers can only be availed for offer redemption by Deem cardholders. Deem card customers must use the Deem Offers app and a valid Deem card to avail the offer. Deem assumes no liability or responsibility with respect to the products or services provided by any of the partners on the program.

Deem Offers, lists the catalogue of Preferred Partners and their Offers which are available to the Deem Card Customers. Deem Offers, terms and conditions will apply to all Deem Offers users. Deem customers will register by entering their name, mobile number, e-mail ID and CIF number.

Once the registration process is completed on Deem Offers, the customer will have access to all the offers.

Deem Offers privileges may be revoked at any time at the sole discretion of Deem at any time with or without notification.

Preferred Partners - Preferred Partners are those retailers/Partners in the UAE where the Offers can be redeemed using a Deem card. The Preferred Partners and their respective offers are listed in Deem Offers. Offers and the countries where the offers are allowed are subject to change from time to time. Offers may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice.

For the buy one get one free offer, the partner merchant may apply either as a deduction of the cost of one least expensive main course or main menu item (when two or more main courses or main menu items are ordered) or may apply as a discount on the bill for the offers which come with a discount.

Offer Redemption

The Offers can be redeemed at Preferred Partners only when the purchase is made using a Deem card. In order to avail the Offer, the Card Customer will have to: i) Present Deem Offers voucher to the Preferred Partner prior to requesting for the bill, and ii) pay the remaining balance for the service/meal using Deem cards.

All Deem Cards Terms and Conditions apply.

1. A valid Deem card must be presented for payment of the offer.

2. Card Customers will receive the Offers at Preferred Partners on the total amount of the bill minus any tax or service charges.

3. The Offers can only be claimed against purchases made at Preferred Partners but cannot be paid in cash or using any other payment or loyalty card or by any such combination with any other promotion or offer.

4. The Deem Offers Mobile App must be presented at the point of purchase to redeem the Offer. A Preferred Partner has the right to deny the discount if the Mobile App is not presented while requesting for the bill.

5. The use of Offers within the Mobile App in conjunction with any other publicly announced promotions or reductions offered is at the discretion of Preferred Partners. The Offers will not be valid on festival days or as per the terms and conditions offered by the preferred partner. The terms and conditions of each offer are updated on the mobile App against each preferred partner.

6. Card Customers need to take note of Offer validity dates and special offer terms and conditions which will be mentioned along with the Offer.

Deem Offers Validity

Deem has the right to terminate the Deem Offers at any time without reason or notice and Deem will not be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from any suspension or termination.

Deem reserves the right to withdraw the privileges of the Deem Offers if any Card Customer is in breach of the terms and conditions of the Deem Offers.

Disputes on Discount

If a Preferred Partner does not honour the valid Offer, the instance can be reported within 2 working days by contacting support through Deem Offers (10 am – 10 pm, Sun - Thur) or email concierge@travellerpass.com.

The Customer must provide complete details to TravellerPass about the merchant’s name and location, date of purchase, discount denied and purchase information. If the Customer has a dispute on the discount, TravellerPass will take reasonable efforts to resolve the dispute.

Additional Terms and Conditions

a. The Offers are subject to the prescribed Deem terms and conditions and the terms and conditions of TravellerPass. Deem reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time or withdraw this offer at any time without any prior notice. By availing the Offer, the Customer accepts and agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions.

b. Deem assumes no responsibility with respect to the services provided by the service partner (TravellerPass).

c. The Customer understands and acknowledges that the Deem Offers is a service offered by Deem and it will be performed by TravellerPass.
TravellerPass and Deem are independent contractors to each other and Deem will have no liability to the Customer for any claims which the Customer may have against TravellerPass for services rendered by it to the Customer.

d. Deem will not be liable for any errors, omissions, delays, or disruptions in the operation of the Deem Offers.

e. Deem or TravellerPass may amend the Offers or add/remove Preferred Partners from the program at any time.

f. Preferred Partners may exclude products or services from being eligible for the Offers without prior consent or notice. At certain Preferred Partners, Offers may be subject to availability and may be altered or withdrawn without notice.

g. Deem is not responsible if a Preferred Partner changes its discount due to new ownership or acquisition.

h. Deem will not be liable in any way if any participating Preferred Partner fails to provide the Offer on any product. Deem does not accept any liability in connection with the failure or refusal of any participating Preferred Partner to provide products. Deem does not accept any liability or responsibility for the quality or suitability of products offered by the Preferred Partners.

i. No Preferred Partner has any authority, express or implied to make a representation, warranty or statement on behalf of Deem or in relation to Deem Offers and Deem accepts no liability in respect of any representation, warranty or statement made by any Preferred Partner.

j. Customers acknowledge that Preferred Partners and not Deem will supply products and services treatments. Accordingly, Deem does not give any guarantee undertaking or warranty concerning the products or services supplied or the performance of any participating Preferred Partner. All conditions and warranties whether express or implied and whether arising under statute or otherwise as to the condition, suitability, quality, fitness or safety of any goods or services supplied by any Preferred Partner are expressly excluded.

k. The Deem Offers may be amended, withdrawn or replaced at any time without notice.

l. Deem is not liable in case of any dissatisfaction about delivery, service or quality of the Deem Offers

m. Deem and TravellerPass’s interpretation of these Terms and Conditions is final and binding.

Deem Offers Mobile App Terms and Conditions

1. The Mobile App will only work on compatible Devices and operating systems and certain functionalities will only work if your device is connected to the internet. Some features may also only be available with certain operating systems.

2. You may be charged by your service provider for downloading and/or accessing the Mobile App on your mobile phone (the Device). These may include data roaming charges if you do this outside your home territory. All these charges are solely your responsibility.

3. Certain functionalities of the Mobile App may need to access your Device and information stored on it so that it works properly. By using the Mobile App, you consent to this.

4. TravellerPass reserves the right to make changes to the app.

5. You must not use the Mobile App for any of the following purposes:(a) anything unlawful or illegal or which is fraudulent or malicious or which promotes any criminal activity or provides information about the same;(b) anything which is defamatory, harassing or threatening or which otherwise infringes or violates the rights of others. This includes any information that you may add or upload to the Mobile App;(c) interfering in any way with any other user of the Mobile App; and/or(d) knowingly introducing viruses or other malicious or harmful material or using it in connection with unsolicited communications. The Mobile App and all copyright, database rights, trademarks and other intellectual property rights related to it belong to us or our licensors.

6. Access to the Mobile App may be suspended temporarily from time to time and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for any reason beyond our control or if we deem it necessary.
For the avoidance of doubt, we shall not be liable for any loss or liability which may be suffered or incurred by you as a result of any suspension of, or interruption to, the operation of the Mobile App.

7. The Mobile App, including all content on or available through the Mobile App, is provided on an ‘as is’ basis and we do not make any representation or give any warranty in respect of the Mobile App or any of its content. In particular, but without limitation, we do not give any warranty as to the accuracy, suitability, reliability, completeness, performance, fitness, freedom from viruses or timeliness of the content contained on the App.

8. Deem/TravellerPass does not accept any responsibility for:

(a) malfunctions in communication facilities which cannot reasonably be considered to be under our control and that may affect the accuracy or timeliness of messages you send or the material you access via the Mobile App;

(b) any losses or delays in transmission of messages or material you access arising out of the use of any Internet access service provider or mobile network service provider or caused by any browser or other software which is not under our control;

(c) Viruses that may infect your computer equipment or other property on account of your access to or use of the Mobile App or your accessing any materials on the Mobile App;

(d) any unauthorized use or interception of any message or information before it reaches the Mobile App or our servers from the Mobile App;

(e) any unauthorized use of or access to data relating to you or your transactions which is held by us (unless such use or access is caused by our negligence, fraud or failure to comply with laws relating to the protection of your data), to the extent permitted by local law;

(f) any content provided by third parties.

In addition, Deem/TravellerPass and its officers, directors, employees, shareholders or agents, exclude all liability and responsibility for any amount or kind of loss or damage that may result to you or a third party (including without limitation, any direct, indirect, punitive or consequential loss or damages, or any loss of income, profits, goodwill, data, contracts, use of money, or loss or damages arising from or connected in any way to business interruption, and whether in tort (including without limitation negligence), contract or otherwise) in any way or in connection with:

(a) the Mobile App and your use, delay in use or inability to use the App or if it does not work as you expect or would like or if it contains any defects or errors and whether or not we correct any of those defects or errors;

(b) your access to and use of any material on the Mobile App or material linked to or referred to on the Mobile App; and/or

(c) any loss or damage to your Device or any other hardware or software you use in connection with the Mobile App, including in connection with any viruses that may affect the same on account of your downloading and use of the Mobile App.

You acknowledge that use of the Mobile App is dependent on third parties, including your own network providers, and that we are not liable for any acts or omissions of those third parties. These Mobile App T&Cs and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including any non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by the law of United Arab Emirates (“UAE”) and the parties agree that the courts of UAE will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such disputes or claims.

Payment Hierarchy

When you make a payment we shall apply it to the amounts outstanding on your credit card in the following order of priority:

First for all billed transactions followed by unbilled in case of any excess payment made

Supplementary Card

Supplementary card applicant must be 18+ years of Age. Supplementary card applicant must be directly related to the Primary cardholder (Spouse/ Parents/Children/Siblings)

Upon request by The “Principal Cardholder”, Deem at its sole discretion and determination may agree to issue a “Supplementary Card” and charge fees for such issuance. The “Principal Cardholder” shall be fully responsible and liable for payment of the value of The “Card Transactions” made by The “Supplementary Card”.

No separate credit limit will be assigned to the Supplementary card(s). The “Credit Limit” assigned to The “Principal Cardholder” shall be inclusive of The “Credit Limit” assigned to The “Supplementary Cardholder”.

All limits on cashback/ offers applicable on the primary card account will be for the combined usage of Primary and Supplementary card(s)

The validity of the “Supplementary Card” shall at all times be dependent on the validity of The “Principal Card”. If The “Principal Card” is terminated or cancelled, The “Supplementary Card” shall automatically be terminated and cancelled, but not vice versa.

All the product specific T&Cs will remain same for both Primary and Supplementary card(s)

All terms and conditions stated hereunder in this Agreement and Deem General Terms and Conditions are fully binding on and applicable to The “Supplementary Cardholder” who will be severally and jointly liable with the “Principal Cardholder.

Virtual Card

Upon request by The “Principal Cardholder”, Deem at its sole discretion and determination may agree to issue a “Virtual Card” and charge fees for such issuance. The “Principal Cardholder” shall be fully responsible and liable for payment of the value of the “Card Transactions” made on the “Virtual Card”.

No separate credit limit will be assigned to the Virtual card(s). The “Credit Limit” sanctioned to the “Principal Cardholder” shall be inclusive of the Credit Limit of The “Virtual Card”.

All limits on cashback/ offers applicable on the primary card account will be for the combined usage of Primary and Virtual card.

The validity of The “Virtual Card” shall at all times be dependent on the validity of The “Principal Card”. If The “Principal Card” is terminated or cancelled, The “Virtual Card” shall automatically be terminated and cancelled, but not vice versa.

Privacy policy

In this document, capitalised terms used but not defined herein shall have the meaning given to them in Deem’s General Terms and Conditions, a copy of which is available for viewing at https://www.deem.io (the “Website”).


1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 Keeping the user’s personal information secure and ensuring the user’s understanding of how we at Deem use the information is important to us. Deem’s goal is to help the user understand how the personal information the user chooses to share with Deem through the Website is collected, used, maintained and disclosed where required. This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) sets forth the terms on which Deem will collect, process, use and disclose information of the user. The user may review this Privacy Policy at any time by clicking on the ‘Privacy’ link appearing at the bottom of one or more pages of the Website.


2. REGISTERED USERS

2.1 By using or accessing this Website, the user agrees to the collection, disclosure and use of data by Deem in the manner provided in this Privacy Policy. Deem’s Privacy Policy does not extend to websites owned or managed by third parties or for data or information disclosed by the user to third parties.

2.2 Deem may track the internet protocol address/mobile device from which users visit the Website and analyse this data for trends and statistics independently or as per an agreement with Deem’s affiliates. Deem uses the information it automatically receives from the user’s web browser/mobile device to see internally which pages the user visits within the Website, which Website the user visited before coming to Deem’s Website, and where the user goes after he leaves. Deem develops statistics that are helpful to understand how Deem’s visitors can use this Website. Deem uses this information in the aggregate to measure the use of the Website and to administer and improve the Website. This statistical data is interpreted by Deem in its continuing effort to present the Website content that visitors are seeking in a format the users find most helpful.

2.3 Users are required to provide certain other information as provided in this Privacy Policy or as provided/required under other terms of use of the Website. This Privacy Policy also provides, inter alia, the use of information collected by Deem, the recipients to whom such information is intended to be disclosed to, type of information collected; and reasonable security practices and procedures adopted by Deem.


3. CATEGORIES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

3.1 Upon enrollment/registration on the Website, the user chooses to provide Deem with certain personal information such as the user’s name, address, e-mail address and telephone number and agreement to the terms governing the use of the Website. The user can update their registration information online. The user may change their password at any time.

3.2 Deem collects the following general types of information about the user when they visit the Website: personal information, demographic information, behavioral information and indirect information.

3.3 Personal information is information that can be used to identify the user, or any other individual to whom the information may relate, personally. Deem does not collect personal information unless the user chooses to provide it to Deem. Some examples of personal information that Deem collects are: name, address, email address, number, payment details, contact information, billing information, shipping information, information about third parties, such as references, mentors or contacts.

3.4 Demographic information is information that is not unique to the user in the sense that it refers to selected population characteristics, such as a postal code, age, preferences, gender, occupation, career history and interests.

3.5 Behavioural information is information on how the user uses the Website and mobile applications, the areas of the Website that the user visits, what services the user accesses, and information about the user’s computer hardware and software including your IP address, device information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information including phone number), geolocation, log information (device event information such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and referral URL), browser and operating system type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is necessary for analysing the use of resources, troubleshooting problems, preventing fraud, and improving our services or providing additional services.

3.6 Indirect information is information Deem may collect about the user when the user uses certain third party services on the Website.

3.7 If the user chooses not to provide the information Deem requests, the user can still visit this Website, but the user may be unable to access certain options, offers and services.


4. USES AND PURPOSES OF COLLECTING INFORMATION

4.1 Deem may personalise the services on the Website. In order to provide this personalisation, in addition to information Deem collects about the user on the Website, Deem acquires information (including personal, demographic, behavioural and indirect information) about the user from third parties. Deem will also strive to use any and all information provided by the user to enhance the utility of the Website for the user.

4.2 Deem may share the user’s information with third parties in relation to the services provided on the Website. Deem discloses information to companies and individuals it employs to perform functions on its behalf. Examples include hosting our web servers, analysing data, providing marketing assistance, processing card payments and providing customer service. Deem may use the email address and other details to inform the user about Deem’s services, such as letting the user know about upcoming changes or improvements. The personal information provided by the user and the personalised data created and saved by the user on the Website is used to provide superior service to the user and to inform the user of various products, services, or other opportunities that may be available or become available through Deem or its affiliates. These companies may set cookies and use related technology, such as encoded URLs or other tracking mechanisms that may note how internet users respond to an online advertisement. For example, users that click on an online advertisement may be redirected to our Website with an encoded URL or other tracking technology that may collect and store information about Website visits, time spent, or a specific advertisement. Generally reported as aggregate and anonymous data, such information can help Deem understand for example the performance of online advertising. Third party sites that show our online advertising are often independent businesses that provide their own privacy statements. We are not responsible for such statements or websites. 4.4 Deem may share or disclose to its affiliates and or third parties any information derived from the registration on, or use of, any online service (including names and addresses): (a) in order to better service the needs of the users; (b) to make offerings /services more relevant to the users; (c) to keep track of point transactions; (d) to resolve any disputes; (e) to deal with requests, enquiries or complaints and other customer care related activities; (f) for all other general administrative and business purposes; (g) for carrying out any activity in connection with a legal, governmental or regulatory requirement or in connection with legal proceedings, crime or fraud prevention, detection or prosecution; (h) to effectively administer and fulfil our obligations under any agreement Deem may have with the user; (i) for preparing quarterly statements and account maintenance; (j) to organise, process, clean and analyse Deem’s data to help Deem better understand the trends and segments in the industry; (j) to provide the user additional communications, information, and promotions such as newsletters; (k) to contact the user about the Website and any updates, informational and service-related communications, including important security updates (l) for domain and system administrators. Any personal data and information that Deem may receive from any user or its peers, including by virtue of any peer reviews, recommendations or endorsements, can be used by Deem, its affiliates, its group companies, its associates for use and reuse, however, reasonable care will be taken by Deem to not misuse such data. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Deem shall not be responsible for any acts or omissions of its associate companies or advisors who misuse such data and information of the user.

4.5 Deem may combine personal information from its one service with information from another service, including personal information, from other services for example to make it easier to share things with people the user may know.

4.6 Deem may disclose and transfer such information to a third party who acquires any or all of Deem’s business units, whether such acquisition is by way of merger, consolidation or purchase of all or a substantial portion of our assets. In addition, in the event that Deem becomes the subject of an insolvency proceeding, whether voluntary or involuntary, Deem or its liquidator, administrator, receiver or administrative receiver may sell, license or otherwise dispose of such information in a transaction approved by the court.


5. METHODS OF COLLECTING INFORMATION

5.1 The Website stores and uses “cookies” so that Deem can better serve the user with customized information when the user returns to the Website. Cookies are identifiers which a web site can send to a browser to keep on the user’s computer to facilitate the users next visit to the Website. The user can set his browser to notify him when he sends a cookie, giving the user the option to decide whether or not to accept it. The information Deem collects and analyses is used to improve the Service. The user agrees that Deem or its third party service providers collect the user’s IP address or other unique identifier. At times, Deem also uses these identifiers to collect information regarding the frequency with which the users visit various parts of the Website. Deem, either through itself or through affiliates or group companies may combine the user’s IP address with other personally identifiable information for providing specialised services (including marketing and for market research purposes), including internal demographic studies, so Deem can optimise the products and services and customise the Website for the user.

5.2 Deem may combine the user visitor session information or other information collected through cookies, web beacons and other technical methods with personally identifiable information in order to understand and improve the user’s online experiences and to determine what products, promotions and services the user prefers or are likely to be of interest to the user. Among other things, Deem collects and obtains information provided by the user: (i) at the point of registering as a user; (ii) by posting material to the Website; (iii) by storing a copy of the user’s resume and any other information the user provides when he sends it to a recruiter; or (iv) by completing online requests for application packs.

5.3 Deem also uses these technical methods in HTML e-mails that Deem sends the user for a number of purposes including: to determine whether the users have opened or forwarded those e-mails and/or clicked on links in those e-mails; to customise the display of the banner advertisements and other messages after the user has closed an email; and to determine whether the user has made an enquiry or available services in response to a particular email. Deem may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on the user’s device using mechanisms such as browser web storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.

5.4 Cookies, web beacons and other technical methods may involve the transmission of information either directly to Deem or to another party authorised by Deem to collect information on Deem’s behalf. The information from use of these technical methods may be collected in a form that identifies the user personally. The user may get cookies from Deem’s advertisers. Deem does not control these cookies, and once the user has clicked on the advertisement and left the Website, Deem’s Privacy Policy no longer applies.

5.5 If the user posts any of his personal information in public areas of the Website, such as on online forums or chat rooms, such information may be collected and used by others over whom Deem has no control. Deem cannot control the use made by third parties of information the user posts or otherwise makes available in public areas of the Website.


6. REASONABLE SECURITY PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES

6.1 Deem will take reasonable steps to protect the information the user shares with Deem. Deem has implemented technology and security features and strict policy guidelines to safeguard the privacy of the user’s personally identifiable information from unauthorised access and improper use or disclosure. The information sought will be used only for the furtherance of Deem’s business and to enhance the user’s experience and not for any illegal or unlawful purposes.

6.2 Deem shall take reasonable steps to ensure that the confidentiality of the information belonging to the user is maintained by imposing strict confidentiality standards on all the third parties, agents, contractors, sub-contractors and service providers with whom it may share such information.

7. GENERAL

7.1 If Deem’s Privacy Policy changes in the future, it will be posted here and a new effective date will be shown. The user should access Deem’s Privacy Policy regularly to ensure that the user understands the extant policies. The user shall make reference to the Privacy Policy in the subject line of any communication to Deem. Deem will attempt to respond to all reasonable concerns or inquiries on a best efforts basis within a reasonable period of time.

7.2 Because of the nature of the internet, Deem may transmit the information collected from the user to another country for purposes such as for storage, or for carrying out the processing detailed above, or because of where Deem’s servers are located.

7.3 Deem may change this Privacy Policy from time to time without requiring any consent from anyone and Deem will post the latest version on this Website.

7.4 Information posted in public areas of the Website or place in the searchable resume database can be accessed, used, and stored by others around the world, including those in countries that might not have legislation that guarantees adequate protection of personal information as defined by the country of residence of the user.


8. AGREEMENT TO PRIVACY POLICY

8.1 By accessing the Website, providing personal information for inclusion in Deem’s database or placing orders through the Website, the user hereby unconditionally and irrevocably consents to his information being stored, used, altered, modified, dis-assembled, shared and disseminated as described in this Privacy Policy.
